Wow, they will be really hard to beat. Additionally, OKC will now probably lose Westbrook in 2017.

Stephen A. Smith, LeBron's fluffer, is saying Durant is weak and no should compare this to LeBron since LeBron left a bad team.

Broussard says Westbrook probably signs long term in OKC now since it's his team.

I don't see Westbrook leaving unless they're unable to make the playoffs this year, provided he's healthy for the season. I think he's going to put up an amazing season statistically regardless of wins.

It's possible the Warriors beat or match their 73-9 record this next year. Forget big 3's, as in lineups like LeBron/Wade/Bosh or KG/Allen/Pierce, just pairing Curry and KD in their primes is going to be insane to watch. Both are MVP candidates on their own. This might be the best pair of players playing together in a very long time.

I'm sure Dallas is excited about this as they'll end up with Barnes now since there will be no way GS matches that offer sheet with KD.

Westbrook will almost certainly be in trade rumors all year because Westbrook alone is not enough to be a contender.

Brace yourselves for LA media continously reminding us about how sources expect Westbrook to sign with the Lakers.

Plus that GSW owner is incredibly hard to like, absolute arrogant prick. It will be hard to swallow this guys talk about how they are so far ahead of everyone when they simply have dumb luck like this right now.

I think Oladipo is a big addition for the Thunder, but obviously not enough to offset the loss of Durant. Who else is still out there? David West? Trade for Blake Griffin? The Thunder could try to tread water for a year and see if Adams develops.

Adams has zero offensive ability.

They will look at either a rebuild soon or be a treadmill meciodre team.

Don't think Westbrook and the rest of their roster is attractive enough to draw talent to OKC.

Pretty sure Westbrook is going to ditch the Thunder next year. Wouldn't suck if we had a great cinderella season in 2016/2017 while the Lakers stay in the cellar.

Have to wonder if Westbrook told KD he would not re-sign next year and if that weighed into the decision to go to GSW. How lucky was it that Curry had those bad ankles his first few years?

Warriors vs Cavs Part III coming to you next summer.

Lebron's first era Cavs teams might have had holes, but they won alot of games... 66-16 and 61-21 the last two seasons there.

It also wasn't a big confab where two free agents decided to go to a team together to join a 3rd.

He's also not the most talented player in the world who ditched out on his home team where promises were made. Durant has been known he might do this for years.

Smith is right, it doesn't compare, because Durant's situation wasn't any of that plus he didn't hold a ESPN show to announce his 'decision'. This was one person, deciding to move on, and he didn't milk it for all it was worth.

Will we see Durant say he's going to bring not 3, not 4, not 5, but 6 championships to Golden State? I doubt it. All in the face of Cavs fans who had been suffering for a long time.

What Durant did can be seen as backstabbing move, but it is not in even the same league as what Lebron did. Lebron ripped the heart out of HIS city, and did it in the most disgraceful way possible.

You gotta laugh at Steven A. Smith.

I thought this same thing trying to give KD the benefit of the doubt, but if he didn't, this is a massive bitch move.

If you ever wished injuries to a team though, GSW would be it.

How are you going to compete in the West in the next 5+ years? Durant, Curry, Green, Thompson are all under 30 still. They will keep attracting veterans for cheap, Curry is the only one needing an extension soon.

I mean even the Spurs if they could replicate their season of last year shouldnt pose any challenge for the Warrior team.

And in the East nobody can challenge the Cavs.

Warriors vs Cavs is a certainty already barring injuries.

Yup. This makes the NBA incredibly boring. The east was already a foregone conclusion every year but at least the West had three legit contenders to battle it out, maybe four if you count the Clippers. But OKC just fell apart and the Warriors are going to be even scarier.

They should just fast forward to the Finals at this point when the season starts.

Regardless of Golden State dominating, assembling a great team doesn't make wishing injuries on them right. They signed 1 free agent to be that great (potentially), Durant. They were historically great without him and he'll be getting a huge contract. It's not like he took a pay cut and colluded with other players (free agents) to assemble a super-team. They drafted and developed almost everyone on their roster except Iguodala, who signed like 4 years ago. You can't really blame Golden State for going after a top 5 player in free agency when they have the cap space and he even fills a position of need, since their starting SF signed a deal with another team. Granted Barnes is a restricted FA but he's not worth max money to the Warriors when he's maybe their 5th best/most important player, 4th best maybe but possibly 6th behind Curry, Green, Thompson, and possibly Iggy & Bogut (considering how poorly they played without him vs Cleveland).

Westbrook in 2017 will be interesting. There is no team he could join to challenge the Warriors.

I guess maybe the Spurs could try to get Westbrook but Westbrook, Kawhi and a 33yr old Aldridge does not look too scary compared to the Warriors.

So Westbrook might just roll the dice on a young potential team like the Wolves, Bucks, Lakers, Nuggets, Suns..

I don't see any team in the West pushing the Warriors out of the playoffs. The next few years are going to suck.

Maybe on some level this will help us because of other West teams throwing in the towel and rebuilding now.

Dumb luck? They built that team through the draft and put themselves in position to attract big time players. I'd say that was pretty damn smart.

I haven't studied the Warriors salary situation but it may be hard to keep all these players together long term.
