Would be a great hire for AZ, proactive approach, helps QBs, very organized, players all respect him, knows what he will do before it happens.

Good to part ways in Philly after 14 years, for him and the team. Built the team on character people, started to relax that with guys like TO. Started to draft some talent with character issues. Went away from building through the draft and spent big in FA which didn't pay off. Washburn was a mistake, Castillo timing was bad caused by Washburn.

Would make Kolb better, Reid makes QBs better, offense better suited than Whisenhunt system. Peterson would come as QB coach. Kolb has to stay healthy.

Childress, Shurmer, Peterson could come. Morningweg is out.

Reid and Bob Lamont met with KC for 7 hours today, Pioli, Hunt, and about 7 other members of FO. Will come down to KC, AZ, or San Diego.

Living in Eagles country, I would say this is a very good assessment of what made Reid a very good HC & what ultimately led to his demise. One thing is certain. Reid would bring with him a staff that our franchise has NEVER been fortunate to have. If we drag our feet, KC will snag him.

Cleveland 'beat' reporter says that former GM Heckert would be part of Reid team in KC. So, there's at least one guy (Pioli) who would be less than keen on his arrival. SD has expressed no interest in Reid.

Also heard Scott Peters and Grey Ruegamer on 1060 talking about Reid.

Peters played for Reid and Ruegamer played against the Eagles.

Peters said that Reid doesn't talk much. In his time there he only had a few short sentances with him.

Peters did say he liked how the team went about its business under Reid, very professional, organized, and everyone knew what they were doing.

More interesting were Ruegamers comments. He played several seasons for the Giants. He said they hated playing the Eagles. Some teams are predictable and you can pretty much get what they do in situations by watching film and studying them.

He said the Eagles always threw wrinkles at them that made them very unpredictable. You could never get comfortable playing the Eagles. He said they always felt off balance playing Reids team.

That sounds like a change from what we've had.

This is the one thing that has me intrigued the most. If he comes here and brings a staff like he had in PHL from 2002-2006 this Cardinals team could be very good. I still see bringing in Reid as high risk high reward though, more so than Horton.

Another thing to consider is that it's very likely the Reid scenario would have to yield immediate results and if not we are doing this all over again in or three years. The Reid scenario could be like fireworks, exciting and loud, but over quickly.

I would have to imagine ownership would be a little more patient with Horton. The Horton scenario would be more like a slow burn, but more stable.
