if hes in camp on time this kid will vie for def rookie of the year. although asu is my fav college team fsu is #2 and i have seen most of the games this kid played in. as im sure many of you already know he is a freaking monster, i cant recall a def tackle that gets in the backfield as often as this guy its amazing. lets hope he keeps his head on straight when things dont go his way. if he does the cards might have another swann on their hands with a better motor and more heart.
If he won't hold out the whole frikken year

Let me get this correct...

i) If you have a large number behind your post count than your opinion counts;

ii) If you have a small number behind your post count than your opinion does not count...

...on that theory...I should just post crap just to increase my post count...internet politics...IMHO...LAME!

An opinion is just that and the number of posts should have nothing to do with it. One person with a view and another that seemed to ponce on that view.

PS I just added another crap post so my post count just went up

Go Cardinals

MY point was, that, a new poster ought to earn a little credibility, and demonstrate a little deference, when joining a new community.

Does that make sense KAZ?

Posts don't make you have credit. Being knowledgable and respectful do...IMHO.

I have been an "observer" on this site for years and have followed it before it that. My 20 posts don't reflect that nor should I have to post to have you "let me in to the club".

I don't see how posting a smiling face counts in the number scheme and several indivduals (I don't think you) do this on a regular basis.

We are most welcome to disagree...someone had an opinion and you basically stated you have to have "ten or more" posts before you are heard.

I disagree...I have 21 now, but have been observing for years.

Numbers don't always mean you have something to say.

Look at my last 21 posts and I have said very little...I have cracked 10 though!

What are you talking about?

Post count padding is fun!

:D

;)

Seriously, everyone's opinion counts.

holy cow, even the fact that i mentioned this guy in the same take as swann, shows the upmost respect for swanny, i can only only hope that dockett comes close to him as a person on and off the field. i guess i should not of mentioned swannys heart since i am not in his body. i just felt at the end of his career in az he took some plays off, watching dockett play at fsu, i never saw him take a play off, up by 20 or down by 20.swann is one of my all time fav. cards i just feel he let me down as a fan in the end.even though hewas limited by his knees.thks

Are we talking about the same Swann?

The one who fired his agent and tried to renegatiate his contract after one year?
The one who sat out a game with a sprained thumb?
The dufus who got kicked out of a Dallas game for kicking a player?
The dufus who get kicked out of a game against Philly for fighting?
The free lancer who ignored his assignment and left open the hole for Adrian Murrell of the Jets to go on a long TD run against us for the Jets' nly win bthat year under Rich Kotite?
The player who left his best games in preseason?
The player who didn't tell his team he was having microfracture surgery?

That Swann?

Thank you!

Some peoples memory regarding Swann is jaded IMO.

The guy gave it all he could. He is the best DL this team has ever seen and possibly ever will. I would like to see the people that slam him do what he did on severly arthritic knees.

Dockett will not ever achieve the dominance that you could see from Swann at times.

yes, some are jaded, and others are blinded by koolaid loyalty. swann always had the potential to be the best ever. sometimes he exhibited it. i think revisionist history makes him the most dominant ever. before the injuries struck he was routinely criticized for taking numerous plays off. he may not have freelanced like simeon did, but he certainly wasn't a "high motor" guy. when motivated he would destroy, when not motivated he was ordinary. let's not make him a saint.

and whether or not the dude has 10 posts or not should make no difference. for all we know the dude might know more about cards football than any of us. to castigate him for a low post count is idiotic at best.

Eric Swann is one of the most overrated players in Cardinal history. He would have been nothing had he not had Michael Bankston, playing next to him. As soon as Bankston left so did Swann.

Hey Crimson here comes very first post. As someone who has suffered silently thru' the years watching our beloved cardinals- Swann and Aeneas were the only one on defence that generated excitement.

Get a copy of the '98 playoff game against the Cowboys and watch Jamir Miller play. That was exciting.
