LOVED the show... looking forward to season 2!

Are you sure it's returning? I haven't seen anything. The short season caught me off guard.

This show was hilarious. I loved the supporting cast too, especially the principle. What a dweeb.

Watched all 6 episodes over two days. It has funny moments. Some good boobs too. Celebrating the absurd often works and makes good comedy. This one doesn't work for me.

Season 2 was supposed to start in July...delayed until September.

Here's some awesome news:

‘Eastbound and Down’ Season 2 May Not Be The Last of Kenny Powers
By Jack Giroux on August 7, 2010

http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/tv...son-2-may-not-be-the-last-of-kenny-powers.php

Eastbound and Down is one of the best shows currently on television. Since the show began it’s been picking up followers like wild fire, and deservedly so. Kenny Powers (Danny McBride) is a character that’s endlessly watchable. He’s despicable, but you still sympathize with him. More Kenny Powers is never a bad thing. Season two of the series is set to air this September and for a while now, it’s been rumored and expected that this would be the final season.

Thankfully, that may not be the case.

When I recently talked to director Adam McKay – a producer on the show – I had to ask if season two would really be the last we’d see of Kenny Powers. McKay said it may not be, “No, no. I think they’re talking about doing a third season. They have some ideas. They have some really strong ideas which, you know, I cant really say.” Where would we see Kenny Powers a little bit further down the line, though? “He’s in such a free fall. Part of the fun is what pieces of rocks he hits while falling. That’s definitely apart of the surprise of the whole show, but they got some pretty insane ideas.”

As McKay said, Kenny Powers is constantly on a free fall and despite all the crap he’s been through, we still haven’t seen him hit rock bottom quite yet. The odds are, things most likely wont end well for Kenny Powers and the prospect of seeing more of his own undoing is great news.

That is awesome news. This is really shaping up to be a great fall for television. Already I have this, Community, Modern Family, the end of Mad Men, and Boardwalk Empire set on the DVR. Can't wait to see all those plus any other good new shows.

Two episodes in and Kenny Powers is back. His speech to the team was hilarious and I am really glad Stevie is back.

agreed. the first episode was pretty funny, but Stevie was sorely missed. Now that he's back, as Kenny would say "It's ****ING ON!"

Kenny's cornrows, moped and cockfighting are freaking me out ....in a good way. Gotta love the midget. And then there is Vida in the red dress with the finest set of cheeks I have never seen up close and personal.

"I ran out of room in the house so I had to start diggin holes out here!"

Jason Sudeikis joining the show for season 3.

Kenny is returning home to Shelby, NC after his stint in Mexico.

It was announced in March that this will be the third and final season of the show.

http://www.thewrap.com/tv/column-post/eastbound-down-ending-kenny-powers-retires-real-25429

Kenny Powers is retiring for real: The third season of HBO's "Eastbound & Down" will be its last, star and co-creator Danny McBride says.

“We never really had an interest in turning the show into anything traditional,” McBride told a Paley Center audience Thursday, accoring to EW. "We approach each season like it’s one long movie.”

This week's episode, Marilyn Manson ( Brian Warner ) does an out of makeup cameo.

Check it out.

holy crap! didn't recognize him for a second. just figured their brilliant casting people just found another weirdo to join the gang. boy did they ever.

this is one of the greatest half hour comedies ever made. easily the best cold opens of any comedy I've ever seen, with Cheers coming in a SUPER close second.

Season 3 was just as funny.

I love seeing kenny deal with the public. It reminds me of some of my relatives back in Oregon.

I can't wait to see season 4 on DVD.

I just finished season 4. I'm surprised at how little chatter this show gets here. In small doses it's hilarious. This last season started out with a bang and slowly fizzled. It was definitely time to wrap up the show.
