Those 2 are frickin AWESOME color guys! They some really funny shxt off the cuff and they make the broadcasts extremely entertaining. They are completely opposite to what Magic did when he took a turn at being a color commentator. It's too bad neither could handle play-by-play so that they could team up together on the same broadcast....

Anyone agree? EVERYONE agree?

I like EJ better, but Majerle is good, too. Now if only the play-by-play guys would stop sucking, we'd be good to go.

Yeah I like both of these guys a lot too. I think EJ is better than Majerle right now. Majerle still has some silly/stupid lines he's trying out..........HOLLA!! (just an example)

I like EJ a lot, always have. Anyways, each time I hear Majerle yell Holla! I start to loose a little more of the enormous respect I had for him.

I agree about EJ and Dan, but Tom Leander drives me INSANE. He tries to be so original with the stuff he says and it's just plain horrible.

I think Eddie Johnson is great. He really gets into the game and what he says is more often than not relevant to whats happening. Majerle on the other hand, jokes around more and says all these stupid sayings as they go to commercial.

Don't shoot me, but Gary Bender is the bomb! :D

BANG!

Actually, Gary Bender isn't bothering me nearly as much this season as he has in the past. Perhaps it's because this team is so good that I don't have to hear him say, "maybe that will get them going" every two minutes. Now it's just every 10 minutes.

I usually tolerate Dan Majerle's commentary, but count me among those who hates it when he says, "holla."

I love Eddie Johnson. I think he's the best commentary guy in the NBA. He's got just the right amount of homerism, but he is not afraid to criticize the Phoenix Suns players when they aren't getting it done.

What I don't like about Majerle is that he says "(Player) does a great job with (whatever)" after every other play. It's almost the same wording each time he says it. Still, he's not as bad as Del Negro, who would say that every other sentence.

I LOVE Majerle as a color guy. He's just hilarious.

I get Al McCoy on the Radio, there is no one better. I chuckle every time he yells "SHAZAAM" when they hit a 3. He even made me chuckle a little bit when the suns were blowing thier 17 point lead to the spurs when Marion missed a layup and he yelled "heartbreak hotel". Course, I would reluctantly give up Al McCoy if I could see them on TV.

I like Majerle and EJ a lot, but my favorite Suns color analyst was Cotton. He and Al McCoy were great together.

I don't agree that Leander and Bender suck. I've heard far worse in the NBA (though far better also).

I used to watch TV with no sound and have the radio going in the background.

However, now with Directv and Tivo the lag is to big for me to handle.

Majerle is ok. He doesn't really bother me. I think that he is being genuine when he does those things (Holla, Has he gone mad, etc). He does it because that is how he really is off the broadcast, not because it is an act of some kind.

EJ is the absolute best. I love to imitate (and make fun of) his speech but his analysis is spot on. I feel very often that I learn something about the game and the NBA when I watch a game he is covering.

Leander is a dork but he is passable. I like when Majerle or EJ crack on his sayings. I almost died when he had the comment about the special sauce and Majerle kept calling him out on it.

Gary Bender is not so annoying when the Suns are winning but that is not saying much. He, clearly, is a professional that knows what he is doing but his personality is a negative at times.

Eddie Johnson should be a coach. I've pleaded with ASU to make room for him somewhere on the sidelines. Even if he was just a shooting coach, I think he could benefit any team. He really has his heart in the right place and knows how to communicate to the young guys (although he can be a bit preachy at times).

He was a very smart player. He's the type of guy, if he was having an off-shooting night, he'd make a concious attempt to get to the line so jump start his game.

Love his analysis. I'm surprised he's not a network guy. I would take him over Tim Legler anyday (on TV or in just a three-point shooting contest).
