I couldn't believe there wasn't a thread on this show yet or I couldn't find it. I just finished binge watching the first season of the show. Wow. What an amazing show. This show seriously jumped way up on my watch list.

To be honest I didn't think much of it. I admit I was sort of jaded because my parents were BBC Sherlock Holmes fans (original) and sort of was overloaded from when I was a kid. LOL. Plus there is the new BBC version which is excellent. So, I never gave this show much thought and I wasn't' really interested in a more contemporary take.

Wow. I was wrong. The writing on this show is freaking brilliant. This is one of the best shows on TV right now IMO. The acting is top notch and Johny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu are awesome together. Top it off with Aidan Quinn and a freaking awesome guest appearance by Game of Thrones Natalie Dormer?!!? I can't wait to start Season 2 now.

It's now one of my favorite shows on TV right now.

As someone that isn't a fan of procedurals, I really like Elementary. Jonny Lee Miller really nails the Sherlock character and does a terrific job. Different than Cumberbatch, which makes this show stand apart from the brilliant BBC version.

Never been a fan of Lucy Liu, but I like that she is Watson, it's just nice and different.

I completely agree with this. Elementary is my favorite show that's still on the air. Liu's work on this has completely outshined all of her other roles that I couldn't stand.

I stopped watching the last few shows. And I couldn't understand half of what he said.

Really kind of a charming show that has it's wit and also a detective show.
