Yeah awesoem part!

My franchise is fine once I realised you had to SAVE it lol

I already met my first benchmark as coach...I won 4 games! I am 4-1 and in first place whooo hoooo

BTW Shipp has been player of the week every week but 1 lol. Passing is still a little too hard for me.

I've only played about 4 or 5 games, but I have already seen some flaws that I don't like....

1. I threw a hard bullet pass over the middle and a DT on the defense reached up and gracefully grabbed it out of the air and intercepted it.
2. No matter how high your QB's speed rating is, he is going to get sacked if he trys to out run a 350 lb DT behind the line of scrimmage
3. The "coaches pick" picks the same damn plays over and over and the playbook is not very deep
4. I don't like that drifting arrow on kick offs and punts, plus field goals are to automatic for the human player from 55 yards and closer

There is just something missing from this game that Madden always provided and I can't place my finger on it. Otherwise this is a challenging game, but I'm still going with EA Sports :)

Your Manual lets you know when you throw a built pass it is lower and can be picked off easier.

Are holding down the R button when you scramble or tapping the A button to run faster?
3. The "coaches pick" picks the same damn plays over and over and the playbook is not very deep
If you use the analoge control you can pick different packages to use with the same formation, you also can hit L and find another play they pick?
4. I don't like that drifting arrow on kick offs and punts, plus field goals are to automatic for the human player from 55 yards and closer
Then you will not like Madden either? :)

Dockett and Davis are sack-tastic on this game. Also, I traded Emmitt to Seattle for a future draft pick, and they currently have him returning punts and kick-offs. Funny stuff. I got Dominic Davis as my back (traded Josh and Shipp to the Texans) and King as my QB. McCown throws tons of picks in this game.

One problem with creating a player: No choice of hair color or tattoos! I'm blonde and have a quarter-sleeve of ink, so in this little aspect I feel that Madden is much better.

I turned mine off it was just way to much to do every week. I would take a look at the postitions that need the most work or had the biggest drop off the last week and always work the QB, WR, HB, CB, DL

Hmmm, It seemed like a good idea to scout the other team and such but even if I have the players go through drills they still show a drop in stats.

I guess some experimentation is in order to get the right mix. In the meantime I may start a new franchise with the prep turned off.

You can go into the options of your franch. and change the weekly prep with out restarting.

Yea, but the defense doesn't even register on the graph anymore. It is rated like 57 now.

Do you have some injuries or is your moral down?

Its funny I had a bug in franchise. My ace formation switch to no name formation with KVB lined up at RB in a kickoff formation lol. I cant use it. The ball wont snap.

Wilson was injured for a few weeks.

I am just not doing enough training. I added some film work and some more workouts and I got them (the QB at least) to 0 instead of -2. :?

In reality you are better off not doing preperation than not doing enough training.

All of this weekly preparation and training weirdness pretty much seals the deal that I won't be checking this game out. Sounds way to complicated.

You can just bypass the preperation if you prefer.

It is a really good game, especially for the price.

I was wondering what was up with McCown, he sucks on this game. McCown throws way to many picks and gets his ass sacked too much. But they made it too easy to do QB runs, you rack up tons of yards with your QB, Vick is unstoppable. I think the game has way too many Sacks and Ints, but other then that I love it.

Just bought the Trivia machine it kicks ass, I love football trivia!!!

No offense, but could it be because it's you controlling him?

I thought McCown was pretty good. Of course I haven't played the game with any other QB so I don't have anything to compare it to.

Usually when I throw a pick it is a misread of the defense on my part or I just don't see the safety or LB lurking in the zone.

On the other side I have had quite a few picks with the Cardinal defense.

You might want to change the setting from Water Boy. :)
