I have this sinking feeling that if this happens the Cards will not concentrate on getting a QB in the draft but more a backup for Keenum. Yikes.

This is the most logical fit in my mind.

I can’t imagine they’re going to franchise Keenum if Shurmur leaves.

I would be fine with Shurmur. I want an offensive guy who can develop a QB. Also, because hes the one making the call on the QB he likes. Im on board, even with Keenum coming along as a stopgap.

Wonder what Keenums price tag will be? Has anyone heard what DC will be joining Shurmur? Spagnolo?

If keenum goes to the NFC championship he is getting glennon money easily. Maybe a little more

Jackson is the one quarterback that I hope we don't draft. I just can't see him ever being a good QB. I think he should switch to running back.
Well if Bortles can certainly get away with playing QB, Lamar certainly can.

It would not be worth paying him big money to come to AZ then waste the first round pick on a QB.

Not any of the other potential QBs we draft tho?
He’s the only realistic one that will fall to us without trading up.

I’m not sold on Rudolph at all so I’m not taking him serious.

Glennon money really isn’t that steep anymore. At least with Keenum there’s a larger body of work.

Overall I still want Cousins, but if we have Shurmur, Keenum is fine... as long as we draft a young guy.

Yeah a larger body of work and the verdict is in he's average at best. Good QBs don't play for 5 teams in 5 years. When teams get a good QB they don't let them go. This is the same guy that went 0-8 for the Texans

He's Drew Stanton

May bring Keenum along with him. I could live with this. In fact I think this is the best scenario. We still need to draft a QB.

ESPN reporting Pat Shurmur...

reporting what? That is an unfinished post title.

That he is coming to Arizona?

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think he’s amazing. You sign him to a two year contract with the coach that got the most production out of him ever, and still draft a QB. Glennon was never good.

I thought it was confusing too, but the point of the thread is that Shurmur is bringing Keenum with him if he goes to a team.

That's all they reported. The point being is he were to come here it would be kind of like killing two birds with one stone.
