Ahh, what does he know. We're twice as good as he thinks.

He's an enormous blowhard.

That's sort of his job. As blowhards go, I'll take him over any of the others. He's not right any more often but he's a lot more entertaining. I take a break from him every now and then as a little can go a long way but I do agree with him more often than not.

I like Bill Simmons, don't get me wrong, but I just look at picks like this as totally "If they totally bomb, no one will even remember 4 months from now.. if I'm right, I'll get to brag about what a genius I am until the end of time!"

If we got the number 1 pick, we would be one of those teams that goes from worst to first.

Put that in the bank, I believe that fully. It would probably be beneficial, since all of our important players are under contract for years and the meat of the roster is actually pretty good. Even if Whisenhunt was fired, we would be an attractive team for a high caliber head coach.

FWIW - he had Cleveland at 1-15 too.

I stopped reading when I skimmed through and saw how great he thought Russell Wilson was going to be. Wilson could be good, but I seriously doubt he will be as good as some of his cheerleaders believe.

I don't have the legs for a cheerleader outfit but count me among his believers. I think he's something special. If he were 3 inches taller, he'd have been the third player drafted. I know 3 inches is a big deal but I think he's the rare player that can succeed regardless. I expect him to make some rookie mistakes and I think we're going to give him some problems early in the game but nowhere near enough to make up for our 3 and out offense. Especially since our 3 and out offense will probably be a 2 and out on several occasions.

this is RIDICULOUS. 1-15? Yeah, right! When this team's awful, they're NEVER awful enough to actually get the #1 pick and the quarterback they need. Do your homework Simmons!

This, because as a whole the Cardinals have been the definition of mediocre through the years. Never bad enough to be the worst team and never good enough to be consider a playoff team. We will often lose to those we are not suppose to and then somehow beat teams we should have had no business beating.

Yep even the dogcrap team of 2000 won three games. And when we circled the drain year after year in the nineties we always won four or five games. Anything to get attention I guess. He just has to add some flourish to his crappy prediction.

Exactly. It's not like we're the Cowboys.

If this prediction is somehow correct I really hope they go somewhere other than Matt Barkley.

Wasn't he the same on who said prior to the NFC Championship game that the Eagles are NFC Champs and Cardinals have no chance? I remover that up on the jumbotron prior to the game, could have been a diff ESPN writer though.

Bill Simmons is the kind of guy who loves to hear himself talk. I can't recall anything that he had said that has come true.

Besides, if the Cards were ever 1-15 with the top pick in the draft it would be the year with the worst crop of prospects ever.
