Slayer is defiantly fun music. The soloing is horrible and they can't really harmonize vocally. But they are fun. It is what it is.

I really like Volbeat right now.

we used to love to play slayer...the main reason??...early on slayer never played a song the same way twice...they were always screwing up their own songs..the album, to one concert, to another concert...the same song would be done three different ways...made it easy for a garage band because nobody could really tell if you were screwing up.....my band RedRum always tried to play the album versions but would invariably screw up a few times...we had this thing where if anyone screwed up their riff..the entire band would instantly stop and turn and look at the guy who screwed up for about two seconds, then we would just jump right back into the jam where we left off....would make for three or four pauses in a set...the local kids seamed to like it....got lots of free beer back then.

my favorite part about Slayer was that their music was easy to play early on.... always been a bigger Metallica fan...kinda got into Slip Knot recently...those kids in Korn have some talent too

Slipknot has become boring for me, I enjoy their initial albums but when I saw them live lately it seemed boring and lazy. I like me some metallica, always liked megadeth more though. Korns first album is fantastic, the rest is meh.

First time I have ever seen someone say the guitar solos in slayer are horrible. like....ever.

Ive only been following them, since 1996 but every time I saw them (roughly 10) the sounded more like their albums than most bands I have ever seen. Ive seen them perform reign in blood front to back flawlessly live.

I have not been to a show since about 87 or so...they must have tightened it up...
slipknow may be boring...but it is new for me...never listened to them prior to about six months ago.....I been doing the country thing for a while...getting back into some metal now because my daughter likes it....so about once a week we sit together and watch youtube videos of different bands...some old,...some new....

Try Lamb of God. They are easily my favorite right now.

Soilwork, In Flames, and Killswitch Engage also are great current metal bands.

Reporters were stating that Mathis left practice early. No follow up since. Anyone know what happened?

The thought of Evan Mathis being the 76th best NFL player in 2015 is silly. PFF doing PFF things.
Why?

THE Best Guard in the league is not worthy of the #71 spot? Would you have an issue With Osemele, Yanda, incognito or Martin at #71?

Deserved or not. PFF has Mathis as the top guard. If they truly believe that, then #71 is fair
EDIT: I'm aware Mathis didn't rank as #1 last year but did 3 season in a row prior to that
