Hahaha-------------everything is back to normal after Keim makes our first selection in the draft--------All the nay-sayers saying Hell NO and talking about how bad this pick is. I love it when everything gets back to normal around here and all the arguments start again!!!!!

The pick is not sexy--------very solid though. Makes us two deep ALL along the O-line no matter who starts-----either Humphries will back up the tackles or Massie will------(thank God not Sowell).

This guy has the best feet of any offensive lineman in the draft---and that will make him very versatile for us as he can play either side if needed. He will almost suredly compete with Massie for the RT starting spot right from the get go. He was consensus the #13 pick on the Cards board and we got him at pick #24. Job well done for the FO----------just look at what our O-line will be compared to 2012------We are THERE BABY ----------better two deep all across the board-------Nice!!!

Damn solid pick fish, but us foaming at the mouth pitbulls are gonna keep hunting for an early dominant edge rusher until we add "that guy" to put fear in every OC we play going forward.

At first was perplexed by the pick. Wanted a Pass Rusher or CB. After thinking about it for awhile I can see where they were going with this pick.

Reading between the lines from Thursday night interviews I believe they may have targeted Dupree at 21 in a trade scenario but would have taken Humphries over Ray if both were there at 24.
We will probably never know for sure.

Was Shane Ray the pick, before Denver jumped in front of us?

I could see BASK taking Ray with the Pick , but I could see " Chairman Of The Committee " veto that choice . I'm worried that I'm seeing " I must not be perceived as being soft or in any way condoning bad conduct by any player by selecting a problem child in the draft "
I am very underwhelmed with our draft Mr. Chairman !!!!!

They were not going to select Ray. As soon as Dupree got picked, they moved to Humphries.

I am happy with the picks so far. Hopefully Johnson will be able to help Ellington

I think you're wrong but we will never know. I think Ray will be a stud unless injuries corrupt his career...I think he will overcome his pot issues.

This guy is determined to erase his dad's name in college (which he did) & pros.

I'm guessing from about 1000 posts about pot issues that you have issues with people that you think have pot issues.

Because I don't like my team being affected & not on the field by possibly lighting up? You bet! So it's not biggie to you DWash makes this a worse team by his actions?

What you or others on this board do in your free time I could care less about that's your business, though I don't agree with it. If you do it I'd still buy you a beer at a Big Red game. :D I've had friends who do it.

Btw I did say I'd draft Ray because I think he's going to be a professional & stop using, Ray won't.

I hated the pick for two reasons. One he wasn't a pass rusher and two he wasn't Randy Gregory. I like the pick because we have a backup OT that should be better than Sowell immediately and should be a starter in the future.

No one wanted Randy Gregory in the first round

And I bet he makes no impact in the NFL

My take on the draft:

We absolutely drafted for speed.
We drafted for people who play tough and have high motors.
We drafted for high risk, high reward.
We drafted BPA according to our board.

Everyone drafted fits one or more of these criteria.
