Hill is 6'8. He may play like a 2-3, but he has the size to hold his own at the 4. Kobe at the 4 makes it sound like you dont watch basketball.

Numbers and positions don't really matter these days, especially with the Suns. D'Antoni puts the best 5 out there, matchups be damned.

Hes 20yo

Not to many 20yo put up consistent numbers night in and night out.

And its harder for him cause he doesnt get alot of minutes on a deep Chicago team.

Josh Smith went through the same thing on a team where he actually started and played way more minutes per game than Thomas and he still didnt breakout until his 3rd year.

Everything about Tyrus Thomas says he could be a beast in this league in time.

But with Nash i think that time could come sooner than later.

I think its worth the risk considering we'll make the playoffs with or without Marion, cause this team is still very talented.

So it all comes down to the playoffs and Marion vanishes every big game so the hell with him if we could get a future young stud like Thomas.

Marion's rookie year 10/6 in 24 minutes, year two 17/10 in 36.

I do agree, D'Antoni likes versatility in all his players. I think D'Antoni's philosphy is have his players concentrate on running his system well and make the other team matchup with the Suns instead of vice versa. And I think it would work if the referees would make the same calls in the playoffs as they do in the regular season.

Exactly.
Haven't you ever seen an all-star game U.J.G.S'd?...with your obvious expertise in x's and o's (& everything else written on this board):D When you put that type of talent on the floor at the same time in D'Antoni's system it's just 5 on the floor. Kobe can't play the 4 in the run n gun? Ok...;)
Just like Marion or Diaw at the 5? Come on.

Preface by stating that although i'm not a fan of Kobe the man , you give me your best starting 5 players by natural position 1 thru 5(playing today) & i'll take 5 Kobe Bryant's on the court over your boys everytime. "Can't play the 4...." :nono:
