Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Dylan Duke is in the middle of a solid first full American Hockey League (AHL) season with the Syracuse Crunch. In 48 games this campaign with the AHL squad, he has 16 goals, 31 points, and a plus-10 rating in 48 games.
It is no secret that Duke has offensive potential, and his final season with the University of Michigan last year effectively demonstrated this. In 41 games with the school, he had 26 goals, 49 points, and a plus-8 rating. With this, it is not too surprising to see him putting up solid numbers at the AHL level.
However, what's more encouraging is that Duke is only heating up with the Crunch as this season carries on. The 2021 fourth-round pick has been playing excellently as of late, posting five assists in his last three games. He also has seven points in his previous seven contests, so he has undoubtedly been making an impact with Syracuse.
If Duke continues to stay hot offensively, it could very well lead to him getting another call-up to the Lightning's roster in the near future. He appeared in his first two NHL games with the Lightning back in February, where he scored a goal and an even plus/minus rating.
