I am wondering why these two RBs from Auburn, Williams and Brown, are in the top 5 list of RBs. I don't follow a lot of college ball but who was the workhorse at Auburn? Did they split carries 50/50, situational splits, one for short yardage, one a receiver? And if the 2 made the team better, why would one be so great by himself? I just don't get it. Thunder and lightning from the college ranks? Can one be good without the other? I am so confused!!! Help me!!!

Carnell Was the workhorse and the kickoff and punt return man as well.

Here is how I think of it. Think of it this way in terms of what the Jets looked like last year. Carnell as Curtis Martin and Ronnie Brown as Jordan with more opporunties.

I kind of think if Auburn would've went 7-4 this past year that they wouldn't be as highly regarded. But they didn't and both players have worked out well so their stock is on the upswing. I think Williams benefitted more from Brown this year than vice versa because Brown took a big load off him.One thing i have to say about Cadillac is every time i watched him play he wasn't all that impressive to me and i, for one, do not want the Cards to draft him.I sure hope he's gone by the 8th pick.

They didn't really split carriers 50/50 nor are they work horse backs that that carried the load by themselves.

Brown is the better reciever and blocker so he was in on more passing plays. While Caddy is proburbly the better pure runner than Brown, but less versatile so was used more often to pound the rock.

However, even though they weren't work horses in the mold of Ricky Williams. Both of them put up very good numbers when asked to shoulder the load by themselves.

Jeff's site (which is pinned up the top) has great analysis of both of them from Scouts etc. I suggest you check it out for your self to get a better idea of the prospects.
