If signed it would gives us the ability or the luxury to put the Front uglies on D completely out of our minds the rest of the offseason and the draft.

With the possible exception of Dockett, but that's a different story & not an immediate concern. Wouldn't that be a great feeling? In just a matter of several days, the feelings in Card's land could swing dramatically. This off season just might turn out to be exciting after all.

Hey Joe, what are your thoughts on Sammie Lee Hill? Do you think we would be worth a 5th or 6th?

If he is signed, bye bye Berry!

Why would you be happy about Berry leaving? He took a pay cut, played his ass off last year and was our best pass rusher. I hope he signs a one year deal with us and makes another run at it.

This is the kind of player I felt the Cardinals would and SHOULD target. He's not flashy, he's not a "big name" that's going to get the ESPN experts slapping off, but he's a quiet producer who will live well beyond his contract value IMO.

I hope Arizona gets him.

This would basically replace Antonio Smith and solidify what became a very solid up-front rotation that many had hoped would continue.

Please sign this man

Then add McFadden at 5-6 million per and we will be talking improvement

I concure and I say if these signings are done, this FA period has gone pretty well.

I've heard from some Pats fans that he played well as a backup, but when Ty Warren was hurt and he was placed in the starting lineup other teams ran right at him and he was a nonfactor.. may be a good depth guy, but based on what they said seems like he would slot behind CC not ahead of him.

That could well be true but he's only a 4 year guy. A lot of times these defensive lineman develop slowly. Look at our own Antonio Smith. It took him several seasons before he even really started contributing.

So I hold out hope that this is guy that is just starting to get it. That seems to be how the Cards target free agents. Find a guy that has been in the league for 4-5 years that they think is ready to take the next step but still doesn't cost a ton of money.

It was only against Pitt, and the whole D stunk that day. But against the Jets who are a good running team, they held them to 3.5 yards a carry

Good enough for me..

worst thing that happens is we bring him in and CC or Iwebema beats him out and he provides quality depth.. and thats not a bad thing.

Ok, apparently I blew up this thread with my little comment. Let me rephrase.

1. I was mistaken on Wright's position and his signing has no impact on Berry's resigning.

2. I do like Berry. Like him a lot. Want him to stay, leader in sacks on the team I believe.

sorry for the confusion. Lets moooove on. :D

I would say he's out of the Brent Keisel mold from Pittsburgh - 3-4 end; very solid against the run and will occasionally get after the QB.
