According to a report from NFL insider Aaron Wilson, the Atlanta Falcons are signing former Houston Texans tight end Teagan Quitoriano following a successful workout with the team on Friday. Since the Falcons have not re-signed veteran tight end Ross Dwelley, Quitoriano gives the team a quality third tight end behind Charlie Woerner and Kyle Pitts.

Quitoriano, 25, was drafted by the Texans in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL draft out of Oregon State. He spent the last three seasons in Houston, recording nine catches for 146 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 23 career games (15 starts).

During his rookie season, Quitoriano had a career-high seven catches for 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns. However, he has recorded just two receptions over the last two seasons as he was phased out of the offense in Houston.

Quitoriano isn't exactly a difference-maker but he gives the team an affordable depth option after losing Dwelley. Despite the team signing QB/TE Feleipe Franks, we would expect Quitoriano to get the nod as Atlanta's No. 3 tight end next season.
