Alba Reveals Fantastic Four 2 Details
Source: USA Today
June 1, 2006

USA Today caught up with 2006 MTV Movie Awards host Jessica Alba, who talked about 20th Century Fox's Fantastic Four 2.

"We start 'Fantastic Four 2' in August," said Alba. "The four of us learn that there are other people out there with superpowers, and the Silver Surfer appears as a villain/hero. And another villain comes in as well. My character, Susan Storm, has another love triangle and may use a power people haven't seen before. She's the most powerful of the four."

The studio is planning a June 15, 2007 release for the sequel.

Jessica Alba is desperate to go topless

Jessica Alba is desperate to go topless this summer.

The actress - who is due to start filming 'Fantastic Four 2' in August - wants to sun her breasts while holidaying on the beaches of Europe, but is paranoid the paparazzi will catch her out.

She said: "I would do if it were just me and my guy, but the paparazzi seem to pop up everywhere.

"I think I'll be wearing a bikini. Bikinis are more flattering on my body."

Alba admits that she loves showing off her sexy body now she's older - because felt guilty about her womanly curves while growing up.

She revealed to America's USA Today newspaper: "I wore jean shorts to the beach when I was a teenager.

"I was insecure and a born-again Christian hanging out with a group of kids that made me feel bad about showing my body, but now I've learned I shouldn't be ashamed of what God gave me."

Meanwhile, Alba is getting ready to host the 2006 MTV Movie Awards.

The 25-year-old - who is also nominated for three gongs including sexiest performance - admits she is thrilled to be fronting the prestigious event in California on June 3.

She said: "It's always a crazy, fun show, and I can't wait to be right in the middle of the action."

Right on. Should be interesting to see how they bring Galactus to the big screen.

Surfer will look pretty sweet. I heard they was discussion of a Surfer feature, too.

Hi-Res Silver Surfer Photo
Source: 20th Century Fox
December 22, 2006

20th Century Fox has provided us with a high resolution version of the new photo of The Silver Surfer from Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer, opening in theaters on June 15.

Here is what today's USA Today says about the character:

With computer-generated imagery techniques similar to those used to create Gollum in The Lord of the Rings, the slippery Surfer, voiced by Doug Jones, "will look somewhere between gun metal and fluid metallics so you can see the body motion, the breathing, the muscle tone, the mood," says Marvel Studios CEO Avi Arad.

The Surfer's mood is key to the story. After striking a deal with the evil Galactus to save his planet, the once-human Surfer wreaks havoc throughout the cosmos. "He is a highly emotional being, trapped inside fluid metal," Arad says.

The new teaser trailer for the 20th Century Fox sequel will be exclusively in theaters on Friday (12/22), attached to Night at the Museum.

The first one was so bad I've been avoiding everything to do with the franchise. However after finding out the Silver Surfer is going to be in it and watching the trailer I'm likely going to be seeing this on release day. I only hope is that the Silver Surfer kills off the 4 in the opening.

Anyone else seen the new trailer? Makes me want to see it even though I didn't care for the first one.

It's interesting that the trailer is essentially just one scene in the movie.

Looks good, though. But I'm biased.

I thought the 1st film was very average. I mean it wasn't bad but I was dissapointed a bit in the same way I was with Daredevil. Again, not bad movies but just wanted more.

I hope this one is better. You can see what can happen to a hero movie when the writing is top notch (ie Batman Begins and the Spiderman franchise).
