Sorry, but Galactus is just goofy looking.

I never bought Gruffud as Reed Richards. Mr. Fantastic needed to be played by somebody older.

Abe Sapien as the Silver Surfer? Not very intimidating.

I saw it this morning. I liked it, but wouldn't consider it to be anything special. Somewhat better than the first one, but nothing more than a run of the mill 2.5-3 star popcorn movie.

Sounds good to me!!! As a FF fan from WAAAAAYYYYYY back, I'm sure I'll love it. Quite frankly, I'm GLAD they've taken more of a comic-book approach to these movies.... makes 'em more fun, IMHO. I don't need Oscar winning stuff from a comic book movie.

I hope to catch it next week.

Rottentomatoes crushed this. Personally i don't think the first was good enough to warrant dropping money on a ticket.

I'm thinking of sneaking out tonight and seeing a late show...not because I think it's going to be any great shakes, but rather because I have a problem.

I just find it kind of stupid they had to rate this pg... I mean they couldnt have tried to up the violence a little to get atleast a pg13 rating with a little blood in it. I mean I kind of like the 1st one wasnt great by anymeans but was watchable and the silversurfer one sounds ok just wish it wasnt rated a corny pg anyone else feel the same way?

Word is that while it's not the worst superhero movie ever, it certainly joins the pantheon of those that are--like Daredevil, Elektra and Captain America. I will not seeing this one, at least, not in the theater.

I have no desire to see this either.

Saw it this weekend. Excellent show! A little bit of a disaster flick theme with what the Silver Surfer is doing to the Earth.

It was okay... I like how they portray Galactis (SP??) in the movie. The girls really thought Silver Surfer was cool!!!

Saw it yesterday. It's on par with the first one, and with Ghost Rider in terms of comic book movies.

Draw your own conclusions.

The special effects were good, and the action was cool. Galactus was a let down, but only because I remember how he looked in the comics. Larry Fishbourne as the voice of The Silver Surfer was great casting, but the fact that he only had 5 lines of dialog defeated that entire casting coup!

And I didn't notice in the first one, but did Jessica Alba have blue eye contact lens then? It was very noticeable in this one.

PS: All the kids on the audience (6-12 year's old) really seemed to enjoy it, in case that is a factor for any of you.

Wife made me go see this today. We enjoyed it. My 3 year old loved it. He thinks The Thing and The Silver Surfer are the bomb.

This old kid enjoyed it! :)

Huge improvement over the first movie!

Characters seemed more "human".

Nice balanced storyline keeping the action level up.

Really think they improved on the comic book storyline(that I remember from a kid) in that they gave SS the job of preparing the the planet for Galactus instead of just being a "herald".

Which also justified the intenational locations(save the whole world) which too often seems forced on many movies.

I'm going to go see it in a couple of hours.

Is the SS a reluctant "herald" like he is in the comics?

Yes hes definitely "reluctant" or at least becomes that way.

You know, I really liked this one. It was much better than the first.

One thing I didn't care for: Doom was unnecessary. They should have saved his return for a different movie. Here it really felt like an afterthought instead of the earth-shattering event it should have been.

Just saw this. Movie was a bit better then the first. Silver Surfer was pretty damn cool. Pretty much a popcorn movie overall. I enjoyed it but I still wouldn't put it up there with the best hero flicks out there.

Really good fun. I enjoyed the way that Story has taken a much more comic book approach with the FF.... I don't think he could have made it work as a "serious comic book movie" like the new Batman or Spiderman. I love it that they keep up the interplay between Ben and Johnny.

Better than the first one, and a very enjoyable 89 minutes in the theatre.
