I'll do this a little differently:
1. Ninja Gaiden (Xbox)
Also re-released as Ninja Gaiden Black
IMO the best action game ever made. Some find it too hard, but I love the difficulty.

2. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox, PC)
A better SW storyline than any of the movies IMO. Revan is Anakin Skywalker, only more badassed and without the whinyness.

3. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, The Sith Lords (Xbox, PC)
Almost as good as KOTOR 1, I can't wait for KOTOR III.

4. Star Wars: Jedi Knight II, Jedi Outcast (Xbox, PC)
Best Jedi action game ever. The swordfighting and multiplayer in this is top notch and I still play the game all the time, even though it came out 4 years ago.

5. ESPN NFL 2K5 (Xbox)
Best football game ever. EA was so afraid of SEGA here, they bought out the NFL to stop this game. Word is SEGA is still working on a next gen version of this game w/o the NFL license. Of course, the game suffers from realism here, as Julian Peterson and Marcel Shipp are both seen playing, & Leonard Davis is actually blocking, but hey at least it looks like the Cardinal runner is about to be tackled behind the line

6. Super Mario Brothers 3 (NES)
Best action/platformer of all time, set the stage for all to come after it. The epitome of the sidescroller. Tons of secrets, hundreds of levels, years of fun.

7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade)
Back in 1990, playing this game with 3 other friends as a 12 year old was so much fun.

8. Soul Calibur II (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube)
My favorite fighting game. Very deep, with multiple unlockable weapons for each character. This is the only all-weapons fighting game that actually doesn't suck.

9. Crimson Skies (Xbox)
Play this on Xbox live.

10. The Front Page Sports:Football Pro series
Pushed EA into making a franchise mode for Madden back in the mid-90s. It was the first sports game to really go in-depth into college drafts, and with it's powerful play editor, you could actually install your own offense and defense, and make your team play exactly how you wanted them. Still, to this day, no other game has done this as well as FPS Football Pro from Sierra/Dynamix.
