Yeah, I think by end of March, the DA in Colorado will only be hanging on by a thin thread.

Some of that has toned down after the judge ruled that the tape recording of Kobe's questioning by the police would remain in evidence. This was questioned because it was done without his knowledge. (This is not a Miranda issue, but a secret taping of a conversation issue).

The tape is a crucial piece of evidence. The biggest problem Kobe's defense team has is that he changed his story several times. A tape of him lying to the police is likely to be a real problem.

This does not mean the prosecution is in a strong position. It is clear that the girl's background is going to be huge problem since her credibility is crucial to the case. Rape cases are always ugly and this one is going to be especially vicious because there is so much at stake. Unfortunately, while this may get Kobe acquitted, it may not get him cleared in terms of public opinion.

That is why I added the second bit about them unloading Campbell using the same tactics we've discussed about the Suns moving White.

The unfortunate part is that Campbell played in Charlotte and might actually have some value in selling tickets prior to people learning how much he's fallen.
