why

why- i'm curious why you would black ball QB's and not other positions from a pretty successful college?

Is it because Whis determined wrongly that DA was better than Leinert? I mean Palmer, Leinert, Cassel and Sanchez all recieve paychecks- They must be doing something right?

I hope Nick Foles comes to the Cards for a try out- because He no longer fits the Eagles run option offense. But Barclay is a great prospect. They are my 2 best optios to compete with Kolb and Skelton - But I hope arian picks his QB- and sticks with him through the developmental period-

DA blow up - What me and Deuce were talking about is nobody elses business on MNF! I put my heart and soul into this em-bare-assing of the AZ Cardinals in front of the world- ( I let DA off the hook - It was Whiz's wisdom that lead to this pile on the field)

We may not see eye to eye on much, but this is something that I can agree 200% with.

Is it because Thesmel continues to re-write history? He moved Leinart to second string for a preseason game because Leinart, The Cowardly Quarterback, made no effort to move the ball down the field and we needed to see what DA could do. Matt threw a hissy fit. Matt asked for his release so he could go and fail elsewhere. The Cards cooperated with him, Matt left and fulfilled his dream to fail elsewhere.

so

so Matt didn't go 9-10 against the Bears as a pre season back up- So We were not minus rushing yards with defenses blitzing every down in Matt Leinarts first 2 preseason starts-
So Whiz didn't need to let Leinart get his legs under him as the new starter of a team that lost in the divisional playoff game the year before?
Where Kurt Warner got his head tore off twice and Matt Leinart stepped in and kept us in the game before the half.

Matt is our starter - we know what we have in him- We need to see if the other guys can play-

We kept DA and Max Hall for heavens sake and it worked out pretty crappy for the Cardinal fans- I mean if you were watching.

You win games by scoring, you can't score on offense if you don't move the ball downfield. Leinart made no effort to move the ball downfield. You can bring up his completion percentage all you want, all I care about is winning and there was no reason to believe that winning was of any concern to Matt. Yes, he was better than DA but he was intentionally (IMO) playing below his ability level and that can destroy a team. He had to go. If Whiz was responsible for the waste of space that Leinart became it was not from sitting him for a quarter at the start of a preseason game.

agree

Matt moved the ball down the field - against the Titans with no first string snaps- after Kurt went down in the Saints game- twice- with no first string snaps- went 9-10 for Houston before his 3rd season ending shoulder injury that he could not control.

My Beef is that- Whiz said one thing and did another- destroyed any confidnce Matt had at the red and White scrimmage - You were probably there too! treated him like a piece of dirt - when he needed some encouragement some confidence some continuity for the team- The whole team suffered Whiz's "magic"

Lets see what other coach has done that crap? (Crickets chirping)
even if He started DA, Leinart would have been the starter after UFAR Max Hall got destroyed, I guess were going to have to disagree again.

Stupidest football personell move I've ever witnessed. I can't think of a comparison, Who was the last UFAR QB who surplanted a #10 draft pick- with 4 NCAA championship games and a fine rookie season?

Romo?

lmao @ the OP

so where do you got our current QB's graded, I got them tied at 50 and out of the NFL next year forever, exception is maybe Skelton has upside.
and another lmao. Skelton was the worst QB on the roster last year. He was so awful, it looked like he was actually trying to suck

well

Grade was acurate at the time on DA and Hall and Skelton too - Skelton advanced from a 50 - but May yet be a quality back up in the NFL. Like Kolb - I'm actually thinking Hoyer is better than both of them now, Now that we got a real coach.

Yea Bucky I still have Leinart graded higher than any QB we have- and I think Beanie is an elite RB when healthy- We'll see how he does with a real coach. But so far Leroy Kelly is the only canidate for my tombstone.

strange you view Kolb and Beanie so differently. I think they both look great when healthy. But both are rarely healthy.

It's because once it is HOF'd it is closed to replies. I'm open to moving this there if people think it has run it's course.

skillsets

I don't see Kevin elite in any QB skill sets- I mean I like good all around QB, but there are many available - What do you see as a clear seperation in Kolb's skill sets and say QBs 22- 54 in the NFL? besides the pay day?

While Beanie when healthy has great power, in traffic and open field skills. He is a fast big back- I would like to see him add 10-15 lbs- to optimise his special attributes of being a big fast back- and a lil baby fat my keep him healthy- seems wound like a guitar string tuned too much- to me.

I mean he aint Bettis or Riggins - He is better - cause he can be that powerful with more tools.

Considering it took almost 3 years for someone to bump it I would say its run its course :)
