I do not think coaching matters, the holder matters, the long snapper matters, and at this point the kicker matters.

Since Neil Rackers record season with the Cardinals has there been ANY kicker that has not been an abysmal failure ?

If I recall correctly, didn't Chandler Catanzaro have a sold season for us? Regardless, I would love to see how our FG% matches with the league.

Then I would love to see what the Cardinals FG% from 40 yards are closer is, in comparison to the rest of the league.

I would then make the claim, I think in the relative setting that is "clutch kicking", that the Cardinals are under 50% when in the situation of a clutch field goal.

That claim sounds like hyperbole to me, and I wrote it. But, I would not be surprised. This has gone from frustrating, to depression, to shocking, to unbelievable.

If I'm not mistaken wasn't it his record breaking year that he missed a short FG (32 yards I think) in the playoff game against the Packers? He was a good kicker until the money was on the table, then he choked.

Maybe. I do not know.

But it re-enforces the point that this has become other worldly.

No. he had his record year when we were awful and his kicks didn't mean squat to the outcome of games.

We wont try out kickers. Remember Butler? He sucked for years and we wouldn’t get rid of him.

Do u think nothing will change till the day BA will be fired?
Our last debacle cant leave mr bidwill indifferent
The credit is over, and yesterday was a prime time show in europe, the opportunity to make your franchise more desirable and the cards failed miserably

At this point, I am fairly certain that it isn't the opposition that gets in our kickers' heads, it's Amos Jones.

This has been going on before Arians ever got here, FYI. This started when Denny Green was the coach.

Remember who missed the game winning field goal against the Bears.

This amazes me. When watching the Red Zone channel, I see kicker after kicker nail FG's. It seems rare when they miss anymore. Yet Cards FG seem rare when they make it. Hell, the Eagles kicker was on the street to start the season and he's been lights out including a game winning 61 yarder.

The thing that frustrates me about Dawson isn't just the fact that he misses field goals, it's the fact that he misses easy field goals that even someone like Catman could've made. Novak and Carpenter are still on the free agency. We should go for one of them.

I remember Cat being pretty solid for us in 14/15 for the most part. Feely wasn’t awful either, although his missed chippy against the Bills in 2012 stands out

Catanzaro missed a 24 yard FG against Seattle last season.

Rackers was money, until someone posted 'Rackers is money' on here!

A lot of teams struggle to find that guy, but generally do after a few years searching. We have been looking for ever it seems. I liked feely, probabably the best in the last 10 years or so, but again had a big miss in him from time to time (Bills game maybe?)

It would good to see the stats (including split on kicks after the 2 minute warning say!)? Wonder if PFF have them?

The Cardinals have not had a clutch kicker since Chris Jacke.
