As I posted in the game thread, the coaching staff did a much better job of prepping, and preparing, the team for this game. IMO. The coaching staff gave the team an honest chance of winning. And the team blew chunks.

But still...

Why is JJ returning kicks?

Why was BIG ever moved to LT?

Why was Milford Brown brought in?

Why was Oliver Ross brought in?

Why was Boldin sent to Siberia, yet again?

Why isn't Troy Walter used more?

The o-line is what's truly disgusting me. Tonight, I feel Green's pain.

But I still believe he is not the long term answer for this team.

JJ had a good game until the bonehead move of running it out. I thought Ross and Brown had good run blocking games. Boldin was able to doubled when Fitz went out. Troy Walters is a 4th WR he got plenty of action for that role.

After the first quarter, Walters was acually the third reciever. But yes, he got play. I just think we're underutilizing him. JJ just has no instincts. IMO.

I'm sorry, I have avoided these threads but for God's sake. Green was in the playoffs 8 out of 10 years before joining the cards. He was the same type of coach then.

Assistants are important and Green's team has moved on to success as head coaches. Now he is basically having to build a new team of assistants. On top of that he had a roster that needed to be totally wiped clean and refilled from NFL Europe and free agents. Takes a long time to do that.

Point is, if a guy with success in making playoff teams needs time, what will any new coach do? Take the progress that has been made and MAYBE build on it. Odds are though, just like with top draft picks, you get the wrong guy and it goes downhill again.

Now if we can get the Titans coach, OK I wouldnt mind the change. Or the Chicago DC. But anyone else, no thanks.

I still like Green and thought the team played better with him calling more plays and putting Leinart in as the starter. Changing coaches again won't help. They will be set back a few years and just ruin another coaches career when I think this team may be close to contending now. I think Denny should get another off-season to improve the o-line and get some more defense. He has done a nice job bringing in talent so far. The first year was for clearing out the players that needed to go and the next two he has brought in good players but wasn't allowed to use the amount of money that he should have. If he could have spent part of that 10 mil. this year the team could be 2-3 or 3-2 right now. I think he should get 1 more year. I don't see anyone else who would do a better job.

A new offensive coordinator is really needed though.

Yes, he was given a crap team with a notorious history of losing and was only given a couple offseason's with our cheap owners to fix the problem? God couldn't have done that.

Whatever, he sucks.

His rebuilt line is on display 11 of the next twelve weeks, watch and enjoy.

Green has just moved past McGinnis to #2 on the all-time worst winning percentage of Permanent Head Coaches in Arizona.

Bugel .312
Green .324
McGinnis .326
Ryan .375
Tobin .397
Stallings .444 (Arizona games only)

Unless the Cards rally Green will also join Bugel as the only Arizona coaches to not have a 7 win season in their first 3 years with the team. Bugel did get there in his 4th and last season.

Special teams lost this game....

on 4 plays.

The blocked punt
J.J. coming out of the end zone on the last kickoff....
and in addition , Femis illegal block in the back buried us on the 10 yard line.

Of coarse the missed FG.

We could all write a book and call it, "How to lose 101."

Yeah, special teams did not play well. Again I ask, why is JJ running back kickoffs? Josh Scobey was way better.

My God!!! DG had a ridiculously loud dome to shield his coaching ineptitude. Defending DG at this point only exposes your stupidity.

swd you are normally pretty bright. But using Green's resume in Minny as a reason to keep him here in AZ is about as lame an excuse as I have ever read. Coaches get passed by in this league all the time.

I think these threads should just add at the end of the season to the end of them.

I agree with that but I'll give Green the rest of the season to sell me on keeping him.

He'll need to impress me after the bye week, then if he adjusted things and things improved I could be swayed to give him one last year to win, but I just don't think he'll do that.

I speak strictly of my opinion, nothing I think has much to do with what happens anyway.

It's still too early to talk about a coaching change seriously. I don't want to see a change just to make a change. If we can upgrade...great. If we decide to remove Green, I'm going to be ticked if we don't have a top notch coach already lined up. And, no, a retread like Jim Fassel wouldn't count for me.

I would think that the Bidwill's would know better than to make a switch before game 16 after having previous in season coaching changes in Arizona produce a 1-13 record.

Now there is always the possibility of Green quitting if things don't get better.

Whatever, he sucks.

:stupid:

Just listen/watch one of his postgame interviews and it's painfully obvious that he's not the man to right this ship.

He has no emotion whatsoever.

He needs to go back to fishing on a cable TV show.
