We averaged 5.1 yards a carry last night. Carter had 5.3 yards a carry. We were running the ball pretty well as the game went on. Yes, I would have given it to Carter at least in first down.

But, again, I cannot slam the call. It was there and coulda been a TD. It was open.
Yeah, ultimately the play call was one that worked. The players didn’t executed it.

And three backup olinemen. And we got stoned earlier in the game trying the same thing.
We got stoned calling a poo run there. Okay, I'm sure the run Fester would have dialed up would have just as bad, but at least it would have been the right call.

Thankfully Petzguy will be fired at the end of the year after this offense put up zero pts in the half and 9 for the game.

Something has to change and the million dollar QB ain’t getting moved but a below average OC will.

Cards aren’t running this offense back unchanged after what we have seen.
Petzing isn’t going anywhere. We already fired a coach who was blamed for Kyler’s problems. Talk to Jayden Daniels.

THIS is a problem. And as much as I like JG, that falls at his feet.

It absolutely is also on JG. It’s why I have said if he keeps Peturd it will ultimately cost him his job as well. Finding OCs that are on the same level as Peturd are a dime a dozen.

K2 was a head coach and OC hence why he was fired. He couldn’t do both jobs and be competent as a HC.

Peturd will be let go if we have another zero point half like last night. Ain’t no one keeping an OC that can’t scheme points and get the passing game going.

While the run game carried this team the NFL is still a passing league. I hope they bring in someone who can improve the pass game for next year with better route combinations etc. Adding a speed threat is a must as we do not throw deep at all, even as a token shot 1-2 times a game to try and keep the defense honest. Ultimately it comes down to KM seeing these guys under pressure

Don’t hold your breath. MO and JG will not want a major change… unless maybe at Qb.

MO drafted a WR at 4 that has been outperformed by the other WRs drafted after him. There will be questions asked on why our TE and RBs get more action than the WR I (MO) drafted. Egos play in to this and everyone will be questioned if either party doesn’t want their power usurped.

Because Mr. Check down isn’t good at it.

Wait you said Petz doesn't have deep routes in his scheme. So which is it? K1 doesn't throw down field or Petz just has guys running down there to improve their cardio occasionally?

Funny to pick one play in the game to establish a point. Because we all know there were far more check downs. K1 is sunk costs and it's time to move on.

I also said there are receivers down field but K1 is taking the check down almost immediately. But you said Petz doesn't have anybody running deeper routes. Always Murray at its finest

I can slam the call. It was absolutely stupid. I'd have been happy af if it would have worked, but it was still a bad call. Just a brain dead OC trying to be too cute by half.

Sure, OK... but do you think he stopped preaching discipline for a moment?
I don't know wtf happened, but SOMETHING did. Whether it is the position coaches or what, the absolute mindshift in being accountable and precise is certain, and JG has been a stickler about this kind of stuff. It's under his watch. I guarantee he isn't happy, but it's now become habit.

At the end of the day, the play he DID dial up worked. Players blew it. So whether you wanted a run there or not, it’s not a scathing indictment of petzig. His play call worked. His QB//TE combo did not.
