anybody remember the days when only 6 teams per comference made the playoffs? 2 teams had a bye, and the others would play a 3 game series...
Before my time, only 4 teams per conference made the playofss, and the Suns would win 48 games and NOT make it...

This is a year when the 7th team had to win 49 and the 8th had 45 wins in spite of a swan dive in the last two weeks of the season. This could easily have been a year when every team would have had to won 50 games in the west to make the playoffs.

In the East, the third best record was the Bulls with 47 wins and 42 wins got the Nets into the playoffs.

Yeah, this is one wild playoff race. :)
The West is completely jumbled as far as seedings and matchups. I don't think the Grizz or the Kings have a chance. Other than that, the 2nd seeded Spur's MVP is liable to go down for the count during any game, We have the 1st seed and nobody thinks we will win except us, and the 3rd seed was clinched early enough to make room for a Sonic's late season nose dive and stay #3. The Seventh seed has the best record since the All-Star weekend, and then we still have Dallas and Houston. I'm glad I'm rooting for the Suns...

It feel really good that I predicted correctly about the sweep.

No mercy rule, so my 1st guess was wrong. :D

But I'm glad I was a homer and picked the sweep. And I'm glad D'Antoni outcoached Fratello so completely. That was the most satifying part.

Great series. The Suns D did improve. I saw a lot more focus and Amare and Hunter challenging shots. They stepped it up on Gasol and didn't let him dominate the paint after that second game.

Q was also really agressive in the first quarter. Driving to the basket and drawing fould calls. When him and JJ are on, the Suns are tough to beat.

I'm glad to see Nash was shooting a little better, granted he missed a few free throws but at least he hit a few threes.
