I took my 3 kids to Thomas the Tank Engine's Magic Railroad. You know a kid's movie is bad when a 4 year old begs to walk out of the theater.

If I was ever on death row, I would want to watch this movie over and over again because time slows to a crawl as you watch it. That Alec Baldwin's career has survived this movie is a testament to the forgiveness of the American people.

How low is the bar set when you're proud of yourself for getting "pretty good" at turning?

;)

Nasser's grading scale

A=Turn corners without hitting anything
B=Hit curbs and old people while turning
C=Hit old people while driving down the road
D=Hit people or kill more than 3 old people while driving down the road
F=Kill more than 6 people or 4 nuns holding babies while driving down the road

Only two movies really make this list:

Number one by far: Battlefield Earth. Pile of ass movie...terrible. Saw this with a lot of people and my brother in law was the only person who liked it..I would have been worried, but my wife, her other brother and dad were there too and they all hated it too. We teased Dan about that movie for years. Hands down the worst movie I've ever seen. I try not to watch bad movies...especially not in the theater.

Number two. Beloved. Went to this with my wife and her sister. Crap this movie was terrible. Seriously..rambling and no point at all. I wanted to poke my eyes out at the end and it remains the first movie, and last, that I actually REALLY wanted the three hours of my life back when it was over. Nothing redeeming about it at all.

A distant third is Pitch Black. Whatever, that movie sucked.

I don't think any other theater movies I've been to sucked like that. Snakes on a Plane sucked, but I was going BECAUSE it would suck so I don't count that.
By far the worst movie I have ever seen was Nightfall.
In 1988, a low-budget movie was produced based upon the story. However, its script, while retaining the story's basic premise, deviated wildly from the original plot, and the film was roundly dismissed by critics and ridiculed by science fiction fans. Asimov himself disowned it. Another film version was produced in 2000. Pitch Black is partially based on Nightfall, in combination with other stories.

whichever batman had schwarzenneger . . . holy crap did that suck. cheese and i saw this movie together years ago. we both sat through the entire movie. at the end we agreed that we both hated it, wanted to leave, but didn't want to force the other guy to leave so we remained silent and suffered for nothing.

battlefield earth rules . . . and the movie i like to trick friends into watching. i try to see how long it takes them to finally look at me and squirrel up the courage to say, "you really liked this??" just horrific.

walked outta romantic comedy. lily tomlin and dudley moore, pretty close on the heals of arthur. thought it'd be funny. uh, no.

Reading through this, I have to say many of you are at fault that Hollywood makes crappy movies and still sells tickets.

SuperSpck gets the biggest blame for paying to see Maid in Manhattan.

The most people I've ever seen walk out was during Blair Witch Project.

Based on percentage of people in the audience.....that honor goes to Dirty Works. My wife and I saw it on an afternoon with about 10 - 12 people in the theatre including a couple elderly couples. By the end of the credits and the scene with the German Shepherd...the crowd was down to me, the misses and one other guy. We loved the movie. Those people don't know what they missed out on.

My top five list:

Vanya on 42nd St - A movie about dull people making a really boring play. The only excitement was when the credits rolled and I got excited about grabbing dinner and drinks.

Meet Joe Black - Saw it on plane. Tried to walk out but the flight attendant restrained me.

I love The Cable Guy. It was so subversive and was so different than what Jim Carrey usually did at that time (Dumb & Dumber, Ace Ventura). In hindsight, it was definitely a "progressional" film for him, leading to roles in The Truman Show and Man in the Moon.

That movie is awesome solely based on the recreation of the Kirk/Spock death battle. Carrey actually sings the battle theme in the right key, in tune, in meter, while he's swinging away. One of the funniest scenes EVER. The skill it took to pull that off is unbelievably advanced.

Love that movie. It has its weak moments, but there were many genius moments.

Is there a line at the end where he says he is Carol Brady's love child or something?

I related. :)

Sorry. I'd say I've reformed, but as long as I'm married I'll be dragged screaming to them.

I have only ever walked out of two movies -

An older movie called "The Pest", john leguizamo in it.
Battlefield Earth

And I wish I would have left 99% of anything directed by Uwe Boll.

"Vanishing Point" - 1971 with Barry Newman. Every time I hear this movie and the words "cult classic" I want to take a valium so I won't pop someone.

I've only ever walked out of a movie four times

1) Jackie Brown
2) Amastad
3) Star war 4 (or whatever the first of the new 3 is called)
4) The thin red line (and I was so excited about it)

1. Twilight - HORRIBLE acting, dialogue, special effects, it had it all.

2. Catwoman - I PAID to see this! Really!

3. Caddyshack 2 - worst sequel ever. Man, I was seriously disappointed because I loved the first one.

4. Dirty Dancing - Man, I must have really loved that girl to actually sit through this entire piece of stupid gayness. I'd rather knock my kneecap off with a brick than see this movie again.

5. Jingle All the Way - Worst Christmas movie ever. I wanted to burn my tree down it was so bad.
