Funny, but CJ has played much, much better than Zarko the last few weeks.

Marion is there because Amare is hurt, CJ is getting more minutes because Amare is hurt, (and has also earned them) Zarko is not back in shape and is obviously having wrist problems yet, Eisley is playing because Barbosa is making a number of mistakes, (Eisley has made some also but he is still learning how to play with these guys)
Scott Williams is on IR so they can trade Googs soon.
I do not have an answer to him not playing Harvey,,,maybe they have decided he is not coming back next year and are playing the younger guys instead??

He may also be playing the guys that will play his game and pass the ball and really want to play and win..........?

Just my two cents........ :)

I agree (to a point) that Mike has benefited from the personnel moves made under his watch, but to say that was the only reason the team is playing better seems doubtful. Even if it weren't just better X's and O's, Mike has the team playing hard all the time.

On personnel,

Zarko missed training camp, just barely gets back into shape and then hurts his wrist. It's been a tough year for him, so I'm not inclined to be all that hard on him.

I have to admit that I was very skeptical of playing Casey ahead of Harvey, but Casey has looked pretty good lately. He plays very hard on defense and is beginning to play smart as well. If his shooting stroke from college ever returns...

The Eisely situation is a pain. Barbosa has started less than a a dozen games in the NBA and sometimes gets exploited by the top NBA guards. At the same time, I can understand why Mike doesn't want to put JJ at PG after he is finally playing well at SG.

Unfortunately, Eisley has played badly more than he has played well. I'm not sure it's Mikes fault, but I guess I'd keep Eisley's minutes down until he proves he understands the offense.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. Slinslin was saying that FJ and Mike D'Antoni were the same, that there was no improvement. I disagreed. I'm sorry, I'm not sure what your "but to say that was the only reason the team is playing better" comment actually means.

Huh?

I think the Suns are playing a lot better than they did under FJ and not just because of the personnel changes. Sorry if that was not clear.

I was trained as an economist, so everything I say tends to be "on one hand there is this but on the other hand there is that". Harry Truman once said he was searching for a "one handed economist". :D

Yup. Confirmation is always nice.
