Lindley holds the NFL record for most passing attempts without a touchdown, at 181. He has thrown more than 20 passes in a game four times, and had at least one interception in each of those games. In the game he won as a starting quarterback, the Cardinals scored three offensive touchdowns. All of those drives started inside the opposing 30, and the Cardinals did not attempt a pass on any of them. On the whole, his 2012 season is one of the worst in recent NFL history. It came in a dismal situation, but he was worse than Kevin Kolb and John Skelton, neither of whom has attempted a regular season pass since then.

The key question for Lindley is how much he has improved since then. It is difficult to say. His performance against the Rams in the small sample size was unimpressive. It was one of just four games this season where a quarterback attempted double-digit passes and did not average more than 3.0 yards per attempt. Even against a solid St. Louis pass defense, that is a poor performance. His DVOA for the game of -50.7% was in line with the -55.8% DVOA he had in 2012.

Yikes.

We now return turn our regularly scheduled bashing of Jonathan Cooper--because there's no way I want to think about these stats for another moment.

PFFFFT!

I could have told you that, I don't need to have fancy stats to state Lindley is a bad QB.

But, hey, if BA can take Stanton whom is about a 50% completion guy and make him a winner, then we have a chance with Lindley.

So what you are saying is...there's a chance!

Play action to fake the pass and then delay the hand-off all day long, they will never catch on.

Lindley has never demonstrated the ability to play QB at the NFL level. We just have to hope that the coaching he's received the past two years, which is better than the coaching he received in 2012, has resonated and he can make better throws and decisions.

The good news is that every degenerate gambler in the country is throwing Seattle into their parlays and teases. It's the perfect opportunity to win Vegas a ton of money at the end of the week--right when the gamblers are going to chase their losses on Sunday morning.

Seattle takes opening kickoff.

First play from scrimmage - PP with a pick 6

Next Seattle Possession - 3 and out.

Ginn returns punt for TD.

Next Seattle Possession - 3 and out.

KW for 12 yard run. Cat kicks 52 YD FG.

We don't need a QB ;)

All that means is that we have Seattle right were we want them.

First offensive play of the game: Play action pass deep down the sidelines to Brown. That would teach those mo-fos.

I know! And since we still have Whisenhunt designing the offense, I'm sure it will stay exactly the same.

I don't care. We're going to win like we did against the Super Bowl Defending Champion Saints 2010 Max Hall style.

LEVI BROWN scored a TD in that game. LEVI BROWN. SOMETHING like that is happening on Sunday.

I believe. Got no choice but to at this point.

Somehow, some way, the Cards are going to win this game. Don't care about any analysis of Ryan Lindley that says he sucks, we've all seen him play in the past and know that he has been horrible.

But, that is not THIS coming Sunday, and we are not going to lose this game. And, I wouldn't be a damn bit surprised to see Lindley play better than he ever has before by a country mile.

I've NEVER had this level of confidence in my Cardinals before. I love it.

Lindley is nothing more than just another player in what is now a long line of players, that have stepped in to replace another player on this team... At 11 & 3, why would a story about Lindley freak us out?? Really??
Look, would I (would you), really be shocked if the Cards lost this game?? They are 8 point dogs for all traditionally practical reasons after all. However, at 11 & 3 and 7 & 0 at home, this team has provided us with the ability (completely grounded at that) to believe they have a more than a punchers chance to pull this off. Do I expect them to win?? Yea, I actually do. Will I be disappointed if they don't? Yes I will. But with 11 wins and no losses at home, comes higher expectations. You put up that type of Win/Loss record and its no fluke. You don't win 11 games accidentally! This team is talented and more importantly, they are mentally tough! They've been forged by fire all season long...
Lindley will make a few good throws and perhaps many tosses that will force us to cover our eyes. So what! When the game clock reads 00:00 at the end of the 4th quarter, I expect to be smiling and hugging my fellow fans in my section! Bring it Hags!!

We cannot win with Lindley and Kyle Orton and the Buffalo Bills can't beat Aaron Rodgers and the red-hot, Green Bay Packers either...oh wait.

but we cant compare orton with lindley

orton is a legit nfl qb,he threw for over 17000 yards with 60% of complete passes and 97 td pass 67 int
lindley 700 yards 51% 0 td pass 7 interception

Whis could not have handled Lindley's introduction to the NFL any worse. Seriously, it was one of the word coaching jobs ever with a young QB or any QB, the kid had no chance and never got any support. I was ticked at Lindley's play at that time but more so at the way Whis ignored him just standing there with his arms crossed entire games without even making an effort to help his young QB... I will be rooting for Lindley because he is a Cardinal, but also because he deserves some redemption!

Of course that's true, but Orton was horrendous in that game. He did nothing to help the Bills. I was just making a blanket statement, to use the any given Sunday rule a shout out.

Can't wait to read on Monday morning, "Lindley and Cardinals lock up the #1 seed in the NFC with a stellar performance from Lindley's 250 yds passing and 2 Td's".......
