I agree. I'm not saying I think Phoenix will do it, I said that the winner of tonights game takes the series, and I still think that. I'm just saying it's not impossible. You won't see me putting any money on the Suns, but at the same time, I'm not going to say it's impossible. I still don't feel there is THAT big of a difference in talent between the two teams.

there's not that much difference in talent, but there's an OCEAN SIZED difference in coaching.

You couldn't be more right. The problem for Phoenix is that their players need to play well enough to compensate for their lack of coaching. The Spurs don't have that issue. There is absolutely no question that Pop is the better of the two coaches. I never have been, and never will be a Spurs fan, but I have nothing but respect for Pop. The guy is a great coach.

D'Antoni on the other hand is, in my opinion, one of the worst coaches in the league.

i disagree, i think the spurs have better talent.

parker vs nash, i would take parker. nash is great at 3's but the 3 point shot is a streaky shot that cannot be depended on. parker on the other hand isnt a very good 3 pt shooter but he scores 25pts a game with lightning quick dribble penetration for easy layups. all game long, you see parker speeding down the court attacking the rim for a layup or a foul and a trip to the free throw line. i'd also take parker's D over nash's.

sg's - not even a contest. manu all the way.

sf's - bruce bowen can guard 1-3 maybe even the 4 also sometimes. he is a capable 3 point shooter. on the other hand, i think this one could be a tossup between either team. I personally would take bruce bowen though.

pf's - you could say that tim duncan and amare cancel each other out, but tim's defense > amare's defense by a mile. i would take tim over amare. im sure you would too. tim is the greatest pf ever.

c - shaq vs oberto? shaq, but its not like he's a difference maker anymore.

so the spurs are more talented and are much more experienced champions. on top of that, they can actually play great defense.

you should be crying yourself to sleep if you really find bruce bowen to be a better player than Grant Hill. and parker better than nash? parker is better for himself. at least nash can make his team mates twice the player they are without him and shoot 45% from 3. that's hardly streaky. nash is also usually above 90% from the line, while parker struggles in the 70% range. Parker is who he is because he has duncan there to cover when he gets beaten off the dribble and because bowen can play defense on guys like nash for him. his defense is not any better than nash's.

i won't go so far as to say he's the worst in the league. The job he did in 2005-6 was pretty ridiculous considering that team's stars were Nash, Marion and Boris Diaw and they were probably a Raja Bell injury from going to the Finals, but he's far from a great coach.

I only say that because the man has done so little with so much. Maybe worst in the league is too strong, but he's definitely in my bottom 10.

damn, Ouchie and I were looking forward to adding you to our Cardinals Crew on Sunday's this fall. Good luck with the criminals!

Man, you know I'd be all over that. I would have just moved west for the heck of it, but moving just for the Cardinals...I'm a fan, but not THAT big of a fan ;)

Are you saying that Nash is a 3pt specialist? Good call.

P.S. Dwyane Wade sucks.

still want to argue when I say Parker > Nash?

Steve nash tonight
7 pts, 9 assts, 2 rebs

Tony Parker
41 pts, 12 assts, 2 steals, 5 rebs

nash is the product of a system. d'antoni's system. that system now gone = nash not the same anymore

parker actually drives to the basket and shot like 60% from the field.

maybe you havent noticed, but parker actually been improving and he's not the same player he was 3 years ago. he's better now.
