just FYI in case nobody knew, Jim "baby face" Hart finally takes his rightful place in the Big Red ROF this Sunday!!! And I don't think it's a coincidence its happens on the day the former Stl team visits the 1st Stl team lol

Longggggg overdue, Congrats Jimmy!!!

I just wish Michael would finally bring back these classic uni's though he we never do it:madarms::mulli:

If the Steelers can wear those hideous bumble bee uni's, I don't know why the Cards don't wear the all whites, at least once in a while. Man, I loved those.

Hart really blossomed under Coryell. Too bad Coryell wasn’t around longer. They were an offensive juggernaut. At best, they had an opportunistic defense. Unfortunately, they could be a sieve too.

Because we have the stupid black alternates. I would much rather have a white throwback.

Actually it's because Michael says it not going to happen. I was told this last year by someone inside the Cards organization. He said those uni's are associated with losing. Ugh. The guy told me he luvs the old uniform as well.

Witch ones are the winning ones and when do we where them? I must have missed our super bowl winning seasons.

When I was a kid I wrote a letter to Jim Hart telling him he was my favorite player and asking for an autographed picture. He sent one back along with a Cardinals sticker. I thought that was so cool. Years later I got to caddy for him at Jan Stenerud's celebrity golf tournament and he was one of the nicest guys ever. Congrats #17!

Bucky, those are actually my FAVORITE unis of all time. I'm 51 and remember Hart as they played the Cowboys twice a year on tv here in Oklahoma. Watched it with my Grandpa vs Staubach..........good times. Wish they'd bring these back!!

If those uniforms signify losing, perhaps Mikey might want to give a stern look to his pappy because he never wanted a winning team because he would have had to pay them too much money.

They had the best offensive line in the history of the franchise (3 All-Pro worthy players in Dierdorf, Young and Dobler). WR Mel Gray and TE Jackie Smith were All Pro worthy as well. QB Jim Hart was fun to watch. He could spin it as well as anyone.

Congrats to Hart. That was the start of my Cards fandom. Terry Metcalf is still one of my all time favorites.

How are those uni's a symbol of losing? The Cards had very good teams back then. Of courdse, they did have some atrocious teams too. But the NFC East was one of the best divisions year in and year out.

I say bring the old white on white unis back---they were awesome. I loved the simple red ones too with white numbers on the sleeves. Get rid of the black unis---they make the team look like crows not Cardinals.

Really glad for Jim Hart. And yeah, those unis were total classics (I don’t mind the current black alternates, but that 70s-80s look was sublime).

Nice shout out Cbus for Terry Metcalf. What an awesome Card he was—absolutely electric!

Don’t forget Terry Metcalf (pictured on poster above), Roger Wehrli and maybe best Cards fullback ever Jim Otis. That was a Super Bowl team if Dollar Bill would have okayed a trade to bolster secondary. I’ve always thought failing to do so caused that team to fail in STL. I also recall on MNF Alex Karras named Metcalf his MVP.

I loved Terry Metcalf. Ultimate scat RB. Aeneas Williams and Roger Wehrli are my two all-time favorite Cardinals' CBs. FS Larry Wilson was my idol when i was 8 years old.

The Arizona Ice Cream Men. LOL.

But, yes the uniforms are cool in an old school type way.
