For those that think Edge is the answer.

Lets see, we let a pro bowl guard go because he was too expensive. In so doing we had to pass on the offensive rookie of the year running back because we had to draft a right tackle to replace our right tackle who we had to move to left guard to replace the pro bowl guard we let go.

Now we're talking about paying big money to sign a pro bowl left guard.

Sure, it sounds bad when you say it like that...

How many thought the Cards would never pay the amount of money they did to sign Edge? If someone can convince MB that we need Faneca, I do believe he will do whatever it takes to get him.

So you are saying we could have had Adrian Peterson and Faneca and LDavis instead of Levi Brown?

And therein lies the answer.

We all know Wiz and Grimm got the goods on Faneca. So, if they feel this team has to have Faneca, then they must be able to sell Bidwill on doing whatever it takes to bring him in. If they can't make the sell, then they shouldn't be leading this team.

Conversly, if Wiz and Grimm feel our money would be better spent elsewhere, they should know, and you'll get no argument from me.

I only hope they level with us when the decision is made.

Nope. Not all of us wanted Peterson and I certainly see no problem with getting rid of LD. His style of play wouldn't have changed one bit if he had stayed with the Cards. I'll take Levi. He's the future of this organization and he and Duece will anchor this Oline for some time to come.

Coaches really like players they know first hand. I would not count out a signing of Faneca.

Wow, you really think that Levi Brown by himself is a better player than Adrian Peterson, Alan Faneca and Leonard Davis together?

Edge is part of the solution. He fights for every yard. He had a rookie at RT, a second year player at RG, a FA at LT and a player in a new position at LG. Maybe the OL is part of the problem for Edge not busting out every play. Maybe some time playing together will improve the running game.

If the question is: Who is the best RB the Cardinals currently have under contract? and you answer anything but Edge you are in left field.

Don't try to replace a productive player with an unknown. Unless we are trading for a guaranteed 1200 yd back from somewhere then any talk of him being gone just doesn't make sense.

The whole offseason has been communicated to us. Give up fantasies about Alan Faneca -- unless he is willing to play for $2.5 mm per year. The Cards are going to sign a bunch of guys who are willing to take Gandy type deals.
We said the exact same thing before signing Edge. So you never know.
