The ravens will be making frank sanders an offer..and he will be either the one or two receiver if he goes there. seems to be up to frank..jurecki said the ravens want him.

martay is still talking to jacksonville..they want him to be the #2 receiver and they do not need him to return kickoffs...jurecki thinks they will be making him an offer and it might be a good fit.

jurecki says the cardinals got a sixth round pick..and the formula was pittman and chavous gone and we received duane starks..they (NFL) for whatever reason ommitted freddie jones from the formula - appears to be a mistake..

krang: if sanders ends up a #1 in baltimore and jenkins a #2 in jacksonville..I wonder if joke is on us or on them? I guess from a signing standpoint neither will end up with much $$..so they are probably low risk signings..

I think that the joke will be on us and them.

Both of those receivers mean more to us than they will to them. Mar Tay is not much a receiver, Frank isn't a very good number 2, so I expect both will be disappoints for them.

comments/opinion:

1. it appears the cardinals assume frank sanders will not be back - and we do not want him back. I have heard some lip service by graves and mac that yea..we would like to have frank back - but I am getting the impression both sides have parted ways. I think frank signaled his desire to come back when he switched agents from dye jr. to parker/barnes. Due to the fact that he was a great guy while he was here (and his relationship with mac and sullivan) has kept the cards from flat coming out and saying we are not going to make him a contract offer. When frank is quoting guys like duane starks (who he asked about the ravens) - makes me think we have told him we are not offering a contract. Who knows..he may get decent $$ (i.e. more than the minimum) if he is viewed as the #1 receiver in baltimore. jurecki said parker/barnes have a great relationship with ozzie newsome. I got the feeling when we sign up guys like russell davis - that if the cards wanted frank back we would have made an offer..we have made martay a couple offers.

2. as I have posted a million times.. sullivan has to be in the loop on this stuff..martay is a low $$ guy and if sullivan demanded him back..we could easily just give him $1.5 - $2 mil per year and he would sign up.

Speculation..either one of the following:
1. we are targeting a veteran in a trade or we see a guy who will be cut june 1st.. or

2. we are going to draft a receiver in the 1st or 2nd round. I hope it is not in the first.

I might have to change (to Andre Johnson rd 1) my Mock a day after creating it, though I think that if we got Bryant Johnson with our second, we would be better off.

Sorry krang, no changing now. Your mock is written in stone and if the Cards don't follow it to the letter, you will be sentenced to 1 month or posting at azcentral.com.

No, and as additional sentence for questioning my ruling, you will now be forced to be a Cowboys fan for a time period of one year. :D

Jones wasnt added to the mix becuase cut players are not included in the formula.
