Both Chicago papers see Monday's game as nothing more then a scrimage. The Tribune has printed numerous articles of late outlining how they expect the team to go undefeated and "erase" the memory of the 1972 Dolphins.

Several players have been quoted as saying Leinart's "success" in the pre-season game was meaningless and they will "address" it on Monday.

If we're not competitive from the start it'll be a slaughter. Then again if the Bears are completely cocky, you never know.....

Seriously....who's making a big deal of Leinart's PreSeason success except for the hardest of Kool Aid drinkers??

It was against second stringers....running a vanilla defense. Means nothing. Our next head coach will have him running for his life all game long.

You want a reason to believe? Here it is. The Bears have not been nearly as impressive on the road this year. Yes they beat the Packers 26-0 on opening day, but it wasn't like their offense was dominant as they scored on 3 field goals and a punt return for a touchdown. They got a last minute touchdown to win 19-16 at Minnesota.

If the Cards don't turn the ball over there is no reason we can't compete with these guys and be in a position to win it.

I agree with you. Even if we lose, I think it will be a nail biter to the end!

This is the type of game that has upset written all over it.

It's only Wednesday... no Kool-Aid allowed until Thursday during NORMAL weeks...maybe we should have to wait until Friday for Monday night games and this kind of comment :)

I have been thinking that the Cards could beat the Bears since Monday.

How great would that be? I would be absolutely fabulous if the Cards won and were the only team that the Bears lost to this year. I have til Monday to live with this fantasy.

I think I called the upset shot on Sunday night.

Koolaid runs rampant this week. When you get a QBOF, that's what happens.

Our season could be saved and we'd all start freebasing the kool aid again with some very winable games coming up.

You have to define "killed". We've been a much better team at home and Chicago hasn't shown dominance on the road (yet anyway). If I were in vegas I'd take the points.

You are right about that. If we can somehow pull the upset, we will be 2-4 with 2 very winnable games before the bye week.

We're going to get slaughtered. Come on guys. When the hell have we ever shown up for one of these games?? Last time, against the Niners on MNF we got crucified. It's happening again.

Stop drinking Kool Aid and join me in a beer. To drown our sorrows.

I'm still not a big believer in the Bears.

Look who they have played so far. The Packers, Lions, Vikings and Bills are all terrible teams. Seattle is the only decent team they have played and the Seahawks usually struggle when they are on the road. Not to mention that they were missing Alexander when they played the Bears.

The Bears will make the playoffs because they are in a soft division. However they won't go deep into the playoffs.

Call me crazy but I think the Cards have a shot on Monday night. The Bears are primed for a let down game with all this 16-0 talk.
