I'm still not a big believer in the Bears.

Look who they have played so far. The Packers, Lions, Vikings and Bills are all terrible teams. Seattle is the only decent team they have played and the Seahawks usually struggle when they are on the road. Not to mention that they were missing Alexander when they played the Bears.

The Bears will make the playoffs because they are in a soft division. However they won't go deep into the playoffs.

Call me crazy but I think the Cards have a shot on Monday night. The Bears are primed for a let down game with all this 16-0 talk.

Stranger things have happened, and I think I have seen all of them happen this year.

CRAZY!

Anyhow, it's not like the Bears are some dominant offense, it could easily be low scoring and we could win but it'd help a lot to have Fitz, without him, we lose IMO, if we don't turn the ball over we'll lose by less than 10 if we do turn it over it could get out of hand.

We've got a shot, just have to play well, never know how well Leinart will do in his second start! Maybe our OC doesn't handcuff him this week and we score and get off early then actually close a game out. Not Impossible, Improbable but not Impossible!

I know you are talking about the Cards games....

But, the Titans going into Indy and losing by only 14-13 is more far fetched than us keeping it close against the Bears at home.

The thing that I don't like about the matchup is that everything they do well matches us.

They have a great pass defense, run defense appears average(could be they're so far ahead teams get easy runs against pass defense for all I know). We have a great passing offense, and can't run the ball.

They have a below average run game, but a very good passing game, we have a good run defense, but a very porous pass defense.

They have a great DL, we have a terrible OL.

On paper they're a terrible matchup for us.

I think the same thing as always applies, if we don't turn the ball over, run the ball better, avoid the big plays on defense, and make a big play on special teams or returns, we have a chance. But on paper they're much better than we are.

The only common opponent we have is Seattle, they dominated us much of the game, Chicago completely blew out Seattle.

And yet turnovers were the only thing that kept us out of that game. We still have a chance to win with 5 minutes remaining. If we are in that same position on Monday, I will be happy.

Seriously....who's making a big deal of Leinart's PreSeason success except for the hardest of Kool Aid drinkers??

It was against second stringers....running a vanilla defense. Means nothing. Our next head coach will have him running for his life all game long.

Actually the first 2 series were against the Bears 1st stringers, but it is still pre-season and they were playing thier vanilla packages, so still a big grain of salt.

they are playing vanilla because the bears front line is killing opponents offensive line. they are not having to blitz to get pressure on the qb or stuffing the run. the cardinals are going to need to run counters and a lot of playaction. overall the caridnals offensive line needs to dominate for a change. let see how it goes. it is time to play the game already.

The only common opponent we had with the Rams was the 49ers. We beat the 49ers and the 49ers beat the Rams. With that kind of logic we should have destroyed the Rams.

Personally I think Seattle is a completely different team on the road. Not to mention they were missing their star running back against the Bears.

To the Bears credit, they have played a bunch of crappy teams and beat them up. Where as when the Cardinals play crappy teams they can't finish them off and always allow them back into the game.

Very true.

They just seem a bad matchup to me.

I am hoping Dansby goes on that radio station tomorrow, denies any of those quotes are real. Then the whole Cards team shows up infuriated Monday, wins the game and then goes on air on Espn and says they were infuriated by fake quotes by Bears fans.

:D

Hell even if none of that happens, if we somehow win I'm going on bears boards and making up quotes like that from Cards players.

Bears run game has been improving as of late though. I think the defensive gameplan was force Grossman to win it...see if the kid could weather the storm with his whopping 6 starts. Teams are having to play the pass more adn the running game has picked up.

we do? I seem to remember getting our doors blown in by Atlanta, getting a pretty good beating at the hands of Seattle this year and last year getting the snot kickedout of us by the Giants (playoff team), the Seahags 2X, the Cowboys (9-7), while only playing Carolina, Washington and Jax tough - so that's 6 blowouts to the "good teams" while only playing tough - and mind you, not winnign a single game - 3 "good teams".

this myth that the Cards play up to the level of their competition is cruious to me - and leads me again to wonder if our fans watch football ina Cards vaccum.

At Home, we can beat anyone or at least play anyone. The Cardinals are a solid bet getting 10.5 pts. Leinart will do just fine & our defense will hold their own. This game won't be decided until midway through the 4th qtr. & don't be surprised if the Cardinals pull this one out. One thing I'm certain, the Cardinals will NOT get blown out. Take it to the bank!!!!!!

Work too hard for my money to wager, but well said my man. Don't think the Bears will be undefeated after Monday night...and then those crazy-ass Bears fans can eat their Super Bowl plane tickets. Dig it?

Decatur, re-registering is an immediate ban. Unfortunately you didn't listen to my first warning and were banned for trolling.

Your CRAZY! If I was betting I would bet against the cards all day long at 10.5

Leinart has never faced anything like hes getting ready to face on Monday. Dont even try and say preseason either. We couldnt score more than 14 and 10 against the Rams n Seahawks and that was with Fitz. We will be lucky to score 10 in this contest. Our D is going to be wore down and we are going to get trounced.

I agree with you. Even if we lose, I think it will be a nail biter to the end!

I am a hardline Cardinal fan but have no reason to think this will be a nail bitter unless getting crushed is causing you to bite your nails. We are clearly outgunned by a really really good Bears team. Sure! On any given Sunday or Monday in this case! But not this Monday unless some new Cardinal team emerges that I have never seen before. We cannot run against average teams so what will we do against a real real good Bears run defense? I just pray that Leinhart will come out of this with his body in one piece. Better be practicing on real short passes because that is all he will have time for. I would like to eat my words on this post so sock it to me if I am wrong.

You can't say that Leinart has never faced anything like he is going to face on Monday, and then use the Rams argument, because he never faced them either.

Maybe with the activation of Holiday we can invent a bunch of trick plays with him as a runner and throwing downfield so we can protect ML and still have some kind of a passing game :)

If you follow the Cardinals under Green, you'll notice a trend that we play competetive football while at HOME. If this game were being played in Chicago, all bets would be off. Chicago is a very good football team, but when the sports media wants to compare this team to the 85 team, then you can rest assured that there will be a letdown. The Cardinals are NOT the 76 Buccaneers, nor are the 06 Bears the 85 Bears. Furthermore, Leinart is as NFL ready as any rookie QB in the history of the NFL. I've watched this kid operate long enough to see that his preparation skills & composure under pressure is light years ahead of where it should be for a rookie QB. He will NOT make the mistakes that could turn this game into a rout. Will he dominate the Bears? NO. Will he get dominated? NO. The Cardinals have not played a Monday Night game in eons, so we will be emotionally SKY high. Sorry Shane, but I am NOT crazy. I've been watching the NFL for 45 years, I think I know just a little bit more than you're giving me credit for. I'm not guaranteeing a W, but we will not embarrass ourselves either.
