aj I agree completely. If we cant land Berry were in trouble.

I am not too upset about this. With Berry coming in today I dont think it made sense to offer Hicks a contract yesterday when Berry is increasing his sack numers while Hicks are decreasing. I think that if we sign Berry that would be a better signing but that is definetly not a for sure thing.

The problem with that logic is that both are better than Wakefield and probably Pace right now. So why not bring both in? We would have two players with double digit sack seasons on there resume at each end with Pace learning and being the primary back-up pushing Wakefield to 4th!

That would be a good thing!

Realistically, if we're in trouble, it's not because we've lost out on one pass rusher and the other dude is back in Denver "talking things over." (There's still the decent chance that, with good coaching, DJ and Pace will emerge as good pass rushers).

It's because we have not addressed our teensy weensy problem of no starting corners.

Factoid - Of the players we've invited here who have made up their minds, we're running 0 for 7.
