Texas A&M's history of developing wide receivers is murky. Still, you can't deny that under former head coach Kevin Sumlin, the program has produced some of the top pass catchers still producing in the NFL, led by future Hall of Famer Mike Evans. However, from 2014 to 2016, Josh Reynolds was A&M's top receiving target, racking up 2,788 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns, ranking second all-time in Texas A&M football history.

After being selected in the 4th round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams, Reynolds has bounced around the league, including a two-year stint with the Detroit Lions (2021-2023). However, after just five games with the Denver Broncos last season, Reynolds was placed on injured reserve due to a hand injury. The San Antonio (TX) native is now headed to New York to join the New York Jets, as well as new head coach and Aggie legend Aaron Glenn.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Reynolds signed a 1-year $5 million deal with the Jets, which isn't surprising given new GM Darren Mougey's relationship with the pass catcher during his two-year assistant GM gig with the Broncos. Reynolds still has plenty of juice left in the tank, and given the Jets' need for a dependable wide receiver opposite Garrett Wilson, this was a no-brainer.

The #Jets are signing FA WR Josh Reynolds today, sources say, and he gets a 1-year deal worth up to $5M.
