With that said, every single one of you should pat yourselves on your back. Honestly.

Reason I come here is because, as azirish notes, this place has a higher level of content.

Although some may disagree, I find the discussions here better than any other forum - so give yourself a round of applause.

Some other forums out there feel like you are waiting in the DMV line listening to idiots talk.

Other forums I have been banned for life - including RealGm - although I'd do anything to get back on that. Great quality.

Surprised? Seriously? He's been suspended twice in two months here. You didn't figure this was an ongoing problem with him?

I find it harder to believe he popped up here out of nowhere and just conceived the persona of a disturbed individual.

Phxsuns.net is alright for inforation, but I guarantee 44 will get banned in less than a week there. They are post nazis, and you can barely start a thread without getting yelled at.

I find phxsuns.net much the same. It's hard to switch topics because their huge run-on threads are very limiting. I also feel like their posters tend to be somewhat of a clique although I do not think it is by intent. Anyway, it really can become boring to get stuck in a long thread and not be able talk about more specific topics. I find this board to be much more liberating and I like the diversity of threads.

Really, I know what you mean. I lurk there because I enjoy some of their opinions but find it annoying when someone posts a new thread and someone responds (ALREADY posted in the Monday News thread!!!!) which is like 10 pages long.

I actually like the one thread policy....

This board (and the cards board) are over run with threads during the season. Sometimes a thread goes all the way to page two before you can even notice. Also, Threads here have to be joined & monitored at all times because duplicate threads are made anytime news breaks.

Running through the daily news in one threads insures many good things.

1. You get it all without missing some stuff.
2. Everyone can have a take about any of the items in the thread and not have to worry about posting the same thing in 5 places (upping your post-count falsely)
3. You notice trends with certain papers, writers, or websites that you might not notice if it is all split up.

It is also much quicker and less convoluted. Again.... Looking in 15 threads a day takes time. And some people like to get the news quick. This place is definately not quick.

What bothers me is that cliq"ish" quality you speak of. Sometimes people bring up arguments over and over again. While others hold grudges forever for something that happened 5 years ago. But I would think that happens everywhere. Including here.

I first started reading message boards because of my love for the suns. I started at the Scout forums and I think azirish introduced me to the fact that other boards existed. I then found phxsuns.net and LOVED it immediately. I actually e-mailed the owner of the site (sose) and asked him to let me join since registration was limited back then. Then I found this site.

Even though it is an alternative, I find that there are too many bogus threads, and duplicate threads. It causes me to waste my time looking at 15 different things and then I don't want to post because I don't think it will get read by everyone. Unless I post the same thing in like 5 places it usually gets overlooked. This never happens at phxsuns.net.

On the other hand..... This place has THE BEST Cardinals board on the planet. Period. It also has alot of other threads I peruse like the TV Shows thread, Tech Corner, Fantasy, and the all important for sale thread.

That's my 2 cents.

Not sure if you guys know this or not, but you can use Google Reader to subscribe to this forum, and just the Suns forum if you want, and not miss anything, and read it all in Google, and then come here to reply.

is a pretty good forum, smaller community that this one and not quite as active but good people there.
