Chris Landry of Fox Sports radio is reporting that Denny is out as the Cardinals head coach within the next 48 hrs. I also saw on the Cardinals message board that 910 AM radio in Phoenix is reporting the same.

Not sure what to take from these "message board" reports but as a 34 yr. old fan who has seen many Cardinals coaching changes- not too many have made it past a 1-6 start.

Could the Pete Carroll era be coming in 2007????

910 AM is a fox station so the other message board is probably reporting the same report as you.

Well, I wouldn't be suprised after such a gutless effort.

Clancy to be interim HC, I assume?

Nope- it will be the Frank Bush error, I mean era.

Frank Bush is the Assistant Head Coach, so I'd assume he'd be promoted for now, win a few games, remain as the coach for the next few years...the Mac era revisited.

You sound old enough to realize what happend last time Pete Carroll coached in the NFL.

How could you be for this, especially since he was known as a player coach, we need someone willing to rip limbs off not do breathing excercises with these chumps.

That is my single greatest fear and one I wish not to repeat!

That really is not any barometer on whether he would be better now. Many coaches have coache din the NFL on their 1st stint and not done well ala Shanahan and others. yet turned out to be really good coaches the 2nd time around.

The "funny" thing about that, looking back on it, is that the team won exactly one game for McGinnis and really didn't play any better than they did for Tobin.

Jeez, our team has had some low standards.

I think he got two tries at it really, I'm afraid to give him a third.

Shanahan was a different story, he didn't have any control Davis did.

Carroll has been a coach twice and messed it up both times because he wants to be friends with his players. It works in college, not in the NFL.

Doesnt matter who our coach is if we dont make some olineman moves in the offseason we will always lose your not going to win any games rushing for just 33 yards. Man if we just had a damn oline we could be one scary team with Leinart, Edge, Boldin, Fitz guess we have to wait till next year :(

Ok you guys are right two trys. But I hardly think one season is much of a shot. I'll give him a pass with the Jets.

Why would we give anyone a pass.

For the love of all that's holy we took like the 5th winningest active coach and destroyed him and you want to trot out a two time loser....

Pete Carroll is a perfect college HC, recruiting is key and he's smart but as to player management on the NFL level, he's abysmal.

Yes a pass. The guy plain and simply wasnt given a fair shot if he was fired after 1 year. No coach would have been IMO. His success at USC shows he can coach. I wouldnt be at all shy of hiring him.

You have to try to get canned in one year, you realize an owner was willing to eat his contract for at leat 2 more years, that's like an animal chewing it's leg off to get out of a trap.
