Not buying it, can't find it anywhere in print. Not on FoxSports.com even in the rumors section.

You have to try to get canned in one year, you realize an owner was willing to eat his contract for at leat 2 more years, that's like an animal chewing it's leg off to get out of a trap.

So. Could be a personality conflict or any plethura of reasons. a 6-10 record in one season isnt all that bad especially considering it was the Jets.

Yes a pass. The guy plain and simply wasnt given a fair shot if he was fired after 1 year. No coach would have been IMO. His success at USC shows he can coach. I wouldnt be at all shy of hiring him.

Why in the hell would Pete Carroll step down from the PRIME coaching job in this country, college or pro? He's the king of LA, he's not going to throw that away to coach a team that is the least highly regarded in all of pro sports.

Using that theory that means Mack Brown can coach  . It's pretty easy to win when you always have the best players. That's why you always pretty much see the same teams in the top 15. Carroll does have an edge as he's coached in the NFL before. But there are a ton of successful coaches in college that are successful just because of the school they are at. See, Lloyd Carr, Phil Fulmer, Mack Brown, hell, even Larry Coker won a championship.

I think Denny will have a heart attack in the next 48 hours.

I bet he has his tackle box packed and is waiting for the call. I am sure he saying get me the hell out of this hell. This team sucks....

Pete Carroll is a perfect college HC, recruiting is key and he's smart but as to player management on the NFL level, he's abysmal.

you are not going to hear an agruement from me. i hope the next head coach gets this thing turned around.

personally i was for charlie weis as the cardinals head coach before they hired dennis green. i am still high on charlie weis as the next head coach. if it takes tens of million of dollars to sign weis then i am all for it. after all it isn't my money i am spending.

here a list of canidates that i would like to see as interviewed as the next head coach at the end of the season.

marice carthon
jim johnson
bill cowher
marty schottenhemier
cam cleeland
mike trovgac
donnie henderson

Maurice Carthon has had his play calling duties almost completely revoked in Cleveland and there has been alot of talk he will get axed.

He's going to be on the local Fox 10 Sports show tonight. They promoted it by saying they will ask Tobin why the Cardinals are so hard to coach. Should be interesting to see what he says about the organization. I'm also curious to see if he'll be hugging a clipboard.

i didn't hear that. i thought he was the one who took over the play calling duties. playing for parcells and coaching with parcells, gives him creditbility as a head coach canidate. look at what sean payton is doing for the new orleans saints.

So has this "FOX" Rumor been confirmed or not? IF Vince Tobin did come back and turn it around, they should sign him until his death... or suicide.

Was that supposed to be funny?

A little bit, and after seeing the post-Bears game conference, I think it could be a possibility. Denny isn't dealing with losing very well, and he isn't the posterboy for health.
