How about just a second rounder. Barbosa is worth more to this team than a defender that will play 10 minutes only if someone gets in foul trouble.

I just think Barbosa is in the same situation with the Suns, with Jackson, Bell, Diaw, Jones and House, he is going to find it hard to get PT.

I think Elson could help, but Barbosa is the backup PG for now, and there isn't much indication that anyone else would be able to handle the role adequately.

Definitely not enough for Elson.

Why would you give up more? He is not a starter or a 1st back. He is going to ride the bench and only get in if there is foul trouble. Unless Denver plans on letting Nene go next year and the will keep Elson.

Im not saying I would give up more, just that a 2nd rounder won't steal him away.

Pre-season doesn't mean much, but Lampe is averaging 9.5 ppg (44.1%) and 5.3 rpg in 20.5 minutes in 5 games.

New Orleans seems likely to be interested in doing some dealing. Their bigs include

Magloire
PJ Brown
Lampe
West
Vroman
Anderson
Bass

Denver and NO are two teams that we should target if we are looking for another big player (no Reiner is not the answer).

Nene
Elson
Lampe
Vroman

Reiner does give us a little more salary to throw into a trade, in order to make something work under the cap.

If Diaw is going to play forward, are we watching the waiver wire for a backup point guard. Hope we're watching Boston closely.

No he doesn't. My guess is that he is a minimum salary player.

he doesn't even have a guaranteed contract. He's worthless in a trade.

Don't forget people that Denver is not going to be in a hurry to help the Phoenix Suns. You will take one sweet deal to get them to give his team a big man.
