Only real option is to make a hard cap. With the way the current cap is set top teams can simply afford to go way over the cap to harvest talent.

I think after the disaster this year is going to be financially, teams will cut spending quite a bit out of necessity.

What kind of money do you guys think Saric will command. At this rate we might get him on a multi year deal under 10m per year.

Alec Burks 1 year 6 million to the Knicks. That sounds like a decent deal.

Edit: Actually that's a bargain. Suns should have been after him at that price.

Not even close. Who’s their third best player?

Oh idk maybe the 6th man of the year last year. I’d put AD ahead of pretty much all others Lebron teammates

you have to look at depth as well

Grant to the Pistons... For more money than we could offer.

The NBA needs to opt out of the CBA at the earliest opportunity. No use playing the game when 94% of teams don't have a chance to win a championship.

You think Harrell is better than Chris Bosh? And they’re shooters were better than Ray Allen, Mike Miller and Battier?

That won't matter. Smith has a lot of physical maturing to do before he will be ready at that level. Until then, I expect closer to the equivalent of what we saw from Wood in Summer League before the Suns cut him.

Smith is already thicker than Wood. I’m not saying he’s “ready” to play in the NBA, but let’s deal with facts here.

For the Suns it is more fishing and less hunting. We have the 9.7 MLE and that is it for the upper players. We just kind of have to throw it out there and hope someone takes it. We have no real way to sweeten it.

you’re upset we didn’t spend money we don’t have on Bertans and Gallo, the only two guys that fit what we want to do?
