That contract becomes fully guaranteed in Week 1 anyway. Super-weak considering we paid AJ Green $8 million last season. The Lions got a steal, IMO.
12 million for Chark is a steal? Lol… From two guys who both complain about oft injured players. One barely 1000 yard season in his career? Lol umm ok

We paid Green $7.25m.

The Chark deal is a lot of G money for a guy only missed games the last 2 years but yes, it's not a bad number.

Yeah it's full G'd week 1 but what if he gets re-injured in camp?

Still, I'd not unhappy we missed that one. I'd rather him do a year there, prove himself then we can look at him again next year.

Yeah but he's young, and youth is all that matters...

if I were Keim, I would be looking at Marques Valdez-Scantling

AJ Green build, an outside player with very good deep speed

can run the go route, deep post, cross and digs they asked Green to run. Durable player and 27 years old.

He had some injury issues last year too but yes at the right money. I think he goes back to GB though.

Bingo! He’d be my #1 WR option right now. I see him perfectly fitting what this offense needs right now.

2019: 73 / 1008 / 8
2020: 53 / 706 / 5
2021: 7 / 154 / 2 (22 yard average)

6'4 198lbs. 25 years old. Has only played for the Jags. Put up a 1000 yard season for the Jags.

Yeah I would hate to sign a guy under 30 who has showed a high level of production and has a chance to get better...

worst case is he gets injured (like any player can) and you wasted a year that you would have wasted on AJ Green

best case is he stays healthy, produces nice numbers in a high volume passing attack and re-signs.

mid case is that he stays healthy, produces nice numbers in a high volume passing attack and get a huge contract somewhere else providing us with a nice comp pick.

Well, no. Worse case is he gets injured in camp. Costs you $10m in cap hit and never plays and you don't have a player. Which can happen to anyone, but not normally with $10m G money coming off a broken ankle. And then we have a season of Wesley at WR2 and no cap relief.

I wouldn't have cried if we signed him. I see the upside but also I'd not sad we didn't. I see the risk with that deal.

You all touting MVS who never topped 39 catches or 700 yards with Aaron Freaking Rodgers as his QB and no real competition. Come on.

(side note, DJ Chark put up over 700 yards with Gardner Minshew as his QB in his 2nd most productive year)

I wouldn't want MVS for $12m. But I'd take him over Chark for $6-$7m.

That's a good deal. Would happily have paid that.

If Denver are spending that money on Randy Gregory then Chandler must be asking for big numbers. Like $20m+.

And this is with Chark by far commanding most of defense's attention.
