Many players have been in Whiz's doghouse this year. JJ must have been (didn't even play for four games), James was in it, after the NE debacle the whole team was in it. Whiz has pushed buttons all year to get guys to respond and play football. Whiz knows what he is looking for and I don't think JJ was irreplacable in his plan. Whiz sees all these guys day in and day out through out the season, I trust his judgement.

SAGE IS A VIKING
Posted by Mike Florio on February 27, 2009, 8:15 a.m.
Sorry, Vikings’ fans. It wasn’t a ruse. It was the real thing.

Sage Rosenfels is the new quarterback of the Vikings.

The trade with the Texans is finalized, according to Adam Caplan of Scout.com. Houston gets a fourth-round pick, and Rosenfels gets a three-year $9 million contract.

And Kurt Warner gets one less landing spot.

Per Adam Schefter:

Super Bowl XLIII between Pittsburgh and Arizona helped draw added attention for Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden and Cardinals defensive end Antonio Smith. Now, each is busy fielding interest as a free agent.

Despite speculation that Detroit would pursue him, McFadden’s first visit could be to the same Cardinals team his Steelers beat in the memorable Super Bowl.

Smith, meanwhile, has received recent calls and offers to visit the Buccaneers, Giants, Eagles, Texans and Falcons. He now is in the process of prioritizing those teams, at which point he would be expected to finalize an itinerary.

Albert Haynesworth is a Redskin with a 7 year $100mil deal, one that his agent told didn't exist with the Skins a couple days ago.

Sports radio here in St. Louis is reporting that the Center from Baltimore is coming to the Rams for a visit. He apparently turned down 6mil per from the Ravens and is looking for a contract worth 8mil per.

Pats nab TE - Chris Baker (good get for them)

Jets nab Bart Scott for 8 mill per year. (Danby Contract set?)

Houshmandzadeh making Seattle his first visit

Stacey Andrews to Eagles for 7 mill per, with things in the contract to make sure he can stay healthy after missing last year.

Bronco's meeting with Renaldo Hill today.

As of right now it looks like the Cowboys have no interest in Ray Lewis and that Ray Lewis is mad that the Jets signed Scott so fast becuase now the Jets wont be going after Ray anymore and gives Ray far less leverage in negotiations with any possible suitors if two teams are already out of the running.

I hope they do sign Clayton. Dude just isnt any good, and will continue Seattles streak of signing mediocre recieving talent. Stinchcomb would be a good get for them though.

Indeed. Stinchcomb and Houshmandzadeh would be an A FA period for them.

If we manage to land McFadden, I vote for a 1 day moratorium on badmouthing the FO (or until an actual screwup materializes).

It's difficult to have two total lockdown corners on your team.

McFadden>Hood..

I will be very pleased with a the group of DRC/BMac/Hood..

Along with A-Dub and Rolle that would be a very formidable secondary.

Looks as though the Cards are figuring that strengthening the secondary is easier than improving the pass rush via FA.

Just for the record while it's fun to speculate about that secondary.. i haven't seen anything all that concrete stating that McFadden is visiting.. he's the top CB on the market, so the Cards would have to be present a strong offer, and Im just not convinced they will do that.. you got a few others team interested in him who i could see throw a ton of money his way

Agree. Has anyone found anything a little more concrete other than the article stating he "might make" his first visit here? That statement seemed to be completely speculation.
