Yea he’s 32I didn't realize guys designated as June 1st cuts could go ahead and sign with a new team...I thought they had to wait. So any reason for the Cards to not bring in Darius Slay?

Banking on a historic draft return in your first two drafts ever as a GM is a special type of arrogance. The Patriot Way indeed. It seems to me the strategy is build through the draft and that means letting some of these guys go out and bring in compensation picks in return. If Monti can draft well, we'll have hope in a year or 2. Otherwise, its business as usual and we can all continue to enjoy the negativity and futility that is being an Arizona Cardinals fan.
They are not clearing any cap. They are choosing not to re-sign young, talented players. None of our bad cap hits are gone other than Anderson and, maybe, Golden.Definitely clearing up the cap. Going full youth. Full rebuild meaning everything must go and start from scratch.

How much searching did you have to do, to find that out?How many on here recognize Rashad Lawrence is referencing LSU Baseball player Tommy "Tanks" with his tank tweet? But, you know, I am the guy that jumps to conclusions.
You are so literal in everything you post. They literally played nothing alike.
Tanks a lot!How many on here recognize Rashad Lawrence is referencing LSU Baseball player Tommy "Tanks" with his tank tweet? But, you know, I am the guy that jumps to conclusions.
Right now he is a starter on this team. He was actually missed when he was out. Sad but true.Do you think guys like Lawrence, who are really just barely fringe players on an awful team, really think they're making a statement of importance with posts like that? If he gets cut by the Cardinals, he's likely in the XFL in 2024.
In the early stages of FA, everything is an overpay. The only reason you participate in that is if you’re a player or two from a championship run. The Cardinals are not tanking just for the sake of tanking. They are trying to build a team through the draft, instead of spending big money in FA as a bandaid because we’ve drafted horribly. That‘s why MO was hired & Dave Sears was brought in. I would love to see this franchise operate in a manner similar to the teams that consistently win. If that takes 2 years to accomplish, so be it. This is something that should have happened decades ago, but that’s why it was a horrible decision by the Bidwill’s to constantly hire from within. If you're not, you should be! Players talk, and players pay attention to this kind of stuff. If a player from a team implies they are openly tanking, why the hell would a FA want to come here but for an overpay? The top notch ownership group?
