Bringing back Diaw is the stupidest idea of all time.

"Alvin Gentry's" comment was funny though.

Agree on Landry, Hixxon, and Bayless. Id like to add Blair and Mayo to that mix as well.

Not to thread jack but i read an interesting article on Dejuan Blair today. He has no ACL in either knee. I guess he had surgery in high school and for some reason his ACLs desinigrated. Apparently, Hines Ward has one missing as well. Weird stuff...

None the less, suns should make a push for Blair. An article i read suspected that San Antonios asking price is probably a low first rounder (which the suns have plenty of). Id pull the trigger on that..

I can't remember if I responded to a similar post the other day or not. Blair is the kind of player you add to a slow-paced team that is close to something to be your third power forward in a rotation. He isn't very good. His knees are barely functioning. No way. He's absolutely the wrong type of player for this team.

They may have trouble doing it because of their lack of defense/rebounding in the frontcourt, but I guarantee this team is going to try to run the ball down peoples throats.

Has Jordan Hill signed anywhere yet?

Novak is fun with the belt and all but I don't want him. Wouldn't mind Carl Landry though. Would the Rockets move Luis Scola? Scola + Gortat would be great.

Yea, I was worried that people will say "jagu you're sooo racist!" but Scola has familiarity playing with Dragic and the Rockets look like they are rebuilding so...

If available on a cheaper short term deal, why not take a swing at Hickson? He can score, and add some athleticism, and at 5 per or less, seems like a good short term risk.

Frye, Morris, Warrick are all at the same position that Hickson plays.

Hickson is younger and better than both Frye and Warrick, and better and has more potential than Morris.

It's hilarious to think that any of those three would hold back an acquisition at the same position. All 3 are bench players at best.

Hickson is definitely better than Warrick, but when healthy, Frye is the better player. Hickson has the potential of being better, simply because he has a lot of untapped potential. Much like a 6'10" guy we just picked up.

I'd definitely take a flyer on Hickson, but that's because I'm not a fan of Morris.

I don't know how you can argue even now that Frye is better than Hickson.

In 2011, Hickson averaged 14 and almost 9 rebounds. Last year with Portland, he averaged 15 and 8.

Channing's best year he averaged 12 and 7 in more minutes.

Oh, and Channing is 29, and Hickson is 23. I'd be pretty surprised if anyone would prefer Channing, especially when Hickson at least has the potential to improve.

Then why hasn't Portland resigned him? He's young and he seems he might be a great backup for LMA.

EDIT: Looks like the Warriors are going to sign him to backup David Lee anyway.

You're right, in 19 games with the Blazers he had a great average. Unfortunately, the previous 38 with Sacramento were less than stellar, he average a whopping 4.7 ppg. Sounds like another one of those low-risk, high reward players. Why aren't the Suns interested? I have no idea. I don't like our PF position at all. None of them, really. Frye needs to stay healthy, but he was awful with that shoulder problem. Warrick is, well, awful. And Morris? Something about him isn't sitting right. Oh yeah, he can't bang with anybody.

Morris' ceiling seems to be a rich man's Frye, without the slight threat of shot blocking.

The decision to draft ANOTHER stretch player was baffling. Every time Faried gobbles up a board or slams one in transition... I die inside.

Jason Quick: Blazers' free agent plan is Hibbert or nothing, GM Olshey says. Focus now turns to trades, where Blazers can make an uneven financial deal Twitter

Jason Quick: Blazers' cap space can be used to execute uneven financial trade with a team that wants to shed salary. Center will likely come this route Twitter

I really wish that our front office was thinking like this.

Boom. I don't get it either, mate. You can't win games in this league running out 5 or 6 guys on $6M-$8M contracts against these big-3 teams. I loved the Pistons run, it was remarkable, but that ish ain't happening again. That being said, they are offering Roy Hibbert a max deal. He's a nice player, but he averaged 13 & 9. His game log is littered with single digit scoring games. I'm curious to see if he's someone that can move the needle every night.

Yes, and they all suck.
Hickson may be better than all 3 of them but we are not going to be interested in another PF until we ship at least one of ours.

There's is 0% chance of the Suns opening next season with 4 PFs on the roster...we are not the Houston Rockets :D
