Wesley, and I can't emphasize this enough, is complete garbage. The only thing he has going for him is being 6'4" with 34" arms. At best he's an EZ jumpball specialist only, which was where he had all his success last year.

Of all the roster construction criticism Keim has been getting the least talked about but most egregious was Wesley being our only depth at outside receiver. Playing 80% of snaps down the stretch with Nuk out he averaged less than 24 yards per game and never topped 30. He was, in my opinion, a major contributor to that horrible run in.

After never making a 53 in 2 years it was a travesty he was so high on our depth chart and complete homerism by Kliff. I believe he would have been out of the league had Kliff not thrown him a bone.

Malik Turner, while not having may opportunities, can at least do this.

Garbage, really? So the ability to score TDs is garbage. I think Wesley would tell you that having a shoulder injury early on was garbage for him having a fair shot to say he belongs because unless you are a top round draft pick, that does not allot one many opportunities. If it was homerism, then at least there is some logic to the fondness having a great college career and knowing what Kliff runs. Isabella is a different story, because he carries far less value than Wesley or Turner. People are so fond of using hyperbole as 'garbage', or other favorites like 'genius' or 'sublime' on social media. The reality is somewhere in between and Wesley and Turner to me at this moment have about the same worth

Frankly not much to recommend him. He’s slow. He’s played about half the time in the slot but he’s no big YAC threat. Best that can be said is he’s okay in the red zone and he doesn’t drop many passes.

Most of the stuff you read about him online says YAC is actually something he excels at.

If he's in your top 3 Wr's you suck, if he's your 5th WR and playing ST I think it's not such a bad move if we sign him.

Now hurry up and trade for Jeudy so we have a #2.

It's nothing to do with that.

He runs a 4.68 40 yard dash. That's slower that Zaven Collins and Collins has 50lbs on him. His physical testing across the board is bad to mediocre.

He didn't have a great college career. He had one good season.

He's a PS player at best. He certainly shouldn't be so high up our depth chart he's starting when Nuk is out. That was an awful error.

This. If you watch his limited play time the biggest takeaway is his YAC.

Biletnikoff semifinalist with 88 catches, 1,410 yards and 9 touchdowns in that insignificant season. Gee, maybe we should cut Kyler Murray because he only had one good season winning the Heisman. Just crazy that you are using a guy like Turner to totally eclipse a guy like Wesley when both guys offer the same relative value. If you are citing the Wesley move as an 'awful' error, then signing Turner would be a 'awful' error because it appears the Cards might want to throw him at the number 2 spot too when they should rather not be gambling at the sake of a young QB's maturation... help Kyler out

That's roughly what Anquan ran :)

Nice to see our free agency period really heating up. :-(
The Cards need to trade and secure a legit #2 and the draft is not the solution for an immediate impact because the Jamar Chases are few. Guys like Wesley and Turner are fine, depth which can contribute with some upside at their age and even fill positions in spurts but we do not have a #2 to take the heat off of Hopkins. I am still really high on Rondale Moore but he cannot play the outside and extend the parameters giving D-Hop more space

Embarrassing that we are even arguing about someone like this. What a depressing offseason.
seriously. So far, Syracuse Basketball has the 1st losing season ever under Boeheim and doesn’t even get invited to the NIT, the guy who used to run our March Madness tournament with a huge payout decides not to do it anymore, I’m still working from home, but thought “Thank God there’s still Free Agency to keep me entertained!”

And here I am reading about Malik Turner. I’m about to induce myself into a coma until the draft.

The cardinals haven’t already made you comatose? Starring at paint drying is more exciting…

I have adopted a dog, a energetic Cur/Lab mix and he's far more interesting than what Keim is doing now. Just today he found and retrieved a big arse stick, I mean a big signing and not just some twig lol

My dam dog just dug a hole in the back yard so deep that if you put your ear close to it you can hear Little Nicky talking to his Dad about Popeye's Chicken.

Of note: the cardinals have not lost since theyve shown interest in Malik Turner. I think we are being too hard on Keim
They have not. There is nothing wrong with signing Malik Turner. I like the possibilities... but all his moves are tiny increments and that makes me think he just might not address the position with a nail but is going the staple route lol

No. Turner is nothing more than depth. He shouldn't be near the number 2. And neither should Wesley. And from watching both guys play in my opinion Wesley should be further away from it than anyone.

In an ideal world neither would make the final 53.

If Wesley had the talent Boldin had in his big toe he wouldn't have had 23.7 yards per game while starting at outside receiver for a team with a 10-3 record.

Also for every Boldin there are 1000 nobodies that ran 4.6+ and couldn't handle the NFL. Wesley is one of them in my opinion.

I know. Just pointing out that the 40 numbers are fairly meaningless.

I am clueless on the direction the Cards are going this off season. Also negative because I am the most impatient person on this Board. Hopefully it will all work out and be excited about the team this fall. Bottom line is they do have some good players.

Russ, which player(s)/picks do you think it would take to get Jeudy?
