Mar. 25—MITCHELL — A free Minnesota Twins youth baseball camp is scheduled for May for children ages 6-12 in Mitchell.
The clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 17 at the Cadwell Sports Complex. Participants are encouraged
to register in advance online
. The clinic is hosted by the Mitchell Avengers youth baseball team.
Clinicians provide two hours of fundamental instruction for kids ages 6-12 in a fun and positive atmosphere. Clinics are open to kids of all abilities who want to play baseball and softball, including those who do not have any playing experience.
Participating children are asked to bring gloves and water to stay hydrated, plus a ball cap and sunscreen.
The free youth clinics are supported by the Twins Community Fund and are in their 64th year of events across the Upper Midwest, dating back to the Twins' move to Minnesota in 1961.
