Remember he is a significant subtraction. Both Lindsay and Garcia were playing at all-pro levels before being cut.

Denny didn't cut those guys for these guys. That is crazy. Denny is trying to build a backbone to this team. A backbone something most , not all, sports talk guys are lacking.MJ would never ever accuse Denny of doing that to his face doesn't have the balls.

The reason there are medical exams when you look at a player is so you can find out if he can play or not. There is nothing wrong with taking a crack at a player who might help and then releasing if he doesn't pass a physical. The Cards are doing what I hoped they do, they are looking for a way to win. They got rid of guys that in Denny's opinion cant help this team. He said it right from day one. Some players will not want to be here, if they don't I will let them go to find a new team. They may not reach the playoffs, but it wont be for not going for it. You want better players ..Give him two or three drafts. If MJ wants the same team back that knew him and talked with him (INSIDER THAT HE IS) then we should have stayed with Mac or taken the same train out of town.

See that is EXACTLY his problem, he nitpicks on crap that really isn't a huge difference maker. If anything, being at the home games last year he had to realize that the team could be a very competitive team in this league but the ATTITUDE was just poor....Green comes in and is doing what he can to change that but MJ just can't see it.......or doesn't want to.
That is my point too. He is looking at things that dont matter to winning football. He is creating a story when there isnt one. The last time I listened to him was after the 1st preseason game and he made the comparison between what RG is making and what DG is making. I asked him "what does that have to do with winning?"

Jurecki needs to decide if he is going to be an insider/reporter or if he is going to be an editorialist/talk show host because it is almost impossible to do both, especially if you have the strong opinions that MJ seems to have. Would you really trust Michael Moore or Rush Limbaugh to give you an objective reporting of the news?

I said it before and I'll say it again.

THE TEAM THAT DENNY GREEN IS BREAKING UP WAS NOT THE '27 YANKEES!

Say it with me one time, maybe Jurecki will hear us.

I would call his radio show and tell him he is an *******, but their show is so lame. Hours and hours of voicemails!

Worst. Radio. Ever.

If MJ continues the pissing contest against Denny his days as the so called Cardinal insider will be numbered.

I can't believe how some people act over the cuts, I'm all for gutting this team, your so right, it's not like Green is painting over the Mona Lisa, he is more like popping a zit on the Cardinals.

Re: Failing Physicals
what does a guy have to do (or not do) to fail a physical. Obviously these aren't just the "turn your head and cough" type you and I might go get; what do they consist of?

Re: Bobby Blizzard
I had the Cards taking this guy in the seventh round in one of my mock drafts. He can catch and run decent routes, but he can't block if I remember correctly.

Is anyone else tiring of MJ???

I don't believe you need to paint a rosey picture all the time but the guy is just non stop negative.....I can understand him being upset, you know swinging on Coach Mac's jock like he did all the time, but seriously, give it a rest MJ!

Can anyone remember the last time he provided any real "insider" info? Me either.

Think it's time to move on MJ.

I hate the guy!!! MJ sucks the big one the worst NFL insider in the NFL.
Never see him on ESPN do you.

I like listening to Lewis. He is the only reason I listen to the show. He is just so unbiased in his views, and uses his playing background in such a good way to relate it to todays topics with out sounding condescending. He tends to look at and express opinions on both sides of the tape, negtive and positive. He even corrects MJ a lot. He sometimes sounds annoyed with him to me. He should be the Cards insider IMO.

Like today MJ was complaining on how we are changing to many things and that all we needed was a good draft and we would be OK(which was laughable in itself but that isntthe point) he tried using Parcells and how he didnt change much in Dallas. Lewis quickly told him that while in NE and NYJ Parcells kept the revolving door greased up, and didnt need to change much becuase he already had a top 5 D in Dallas.

Does anyone know what an NFL physical really is? Does it mean that Ross has some kind of injury (in which case, should he be eligible for some kind of injury settlement from the Vikes?) Or, does it mean he's just in terrible shape? Or, by the Cards saying he didn't pass the physical, is that just another way of saying "we wanted to flex our waiver wire muscles, and after we thought about it a little more, we don't really want these guys.

I think you may be onto something, but my take is a bit different -

Without knowing all the ins and outs of waiver procedure, I suspect that if the name comes up and you don't immediately pull the trigger, you lose the dude to another team.

So if you're Rod or Denny, the smartest thing to do is put the claim in (because you never know) and then interview and have the docs examine the guy as soon as possible.

Maybe the "failed the physical exam" report is legit, but I wouldn't be shocked if it turned out that Denny looked either of the 2 players in the eye, didn't see the commitment he wanted and then told the guy: "Sorry dude, it's not going to work out, but we'll just chalk it up to a failed physical to avoid any embarrassment or anything negative that might hurt your career."

So Dennis loses nothing by bringing in the guy (there's always the possibility he'd be a steal). But if it doesn't work out - nothing ventured nothing gained. Sayonara! On to the next free agent.

Physicals vary greatly from team to team, and in general a physical for a player already on your team is far less intense than one you're acquiring.

An example would be Eric Swann passing a Card physical while injured and then being cut. Swann goes out and fails several other teams physicals and then filed a grievance saying he was cut while hurt(even though he'd asked for the release that was the one part of Swann's career here I think he was way out of line with).

Or my previous example of Kenny Easley passing Seattles' physical and then failing ours with a career ending kidney condition.

There's a lot of internal pressure on trainers and doctors to clear your current players to keep playing, but another team would be hesitant to take the guy and then have him get hurt. Schlereth has said this on ESPN more than once, he'd have never passed anybody's physical except Denver because they knew he was hurt, was willing to play hurt, and they were ok in letting him do so.

It's actually common for a guy to fail one physical, go somewhere else and pass one. depends what that each team looks for.
