Walt (I presume Mitchell) termed the article a "waste of space", questioning why we should be zeroing in on our opponents instead of ourselves.

Several months ago, I was asked by Jim Skane if I'd be willing to post articles on the next Cardinal opponent. I agreed to do it.

We play the Cowboys Saturday.

I posted the article.

I know it's just a preseason game, but I figured this was as good a time as any to get my feet wet with opposing team previews.

If most of you feel this is a waste of space, let Jim know. We don't have to do it.

I can't pretend to keep up with all the other teams in the league. I enjoy your upcoming previews very much, and have read them on your Big Red Sheet for the past couple of years.

No matter what you write, I find someone is bound a determined to insult you. My vote would be to keep posting them here.

Keep up the good work.

Go Cards!!!

I thought it was well researched and well written. One thing that isn't mentioned, however, is that PArcells places more emphasis on winning in the preseason than most coaches, and I expect that Parcells will want to win this one more than usual.

I echo the above sentiments Jeff. You are well informed and skilled at transferring your thoughts to words. Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure we can assume that Walt=Walter (our Saturday morning scribe). My guess is that Walter wouldn't consider someone's analysis as "a waste of space"........he's very much into the Cards.........it's not his style to be critical.

Relax, Jeff. I get some negative comments in e-mail about every single article we ever put up. There is always somebody who doesn't like something about what we do.

It goes with the territory.

Jeff, I have been reading you for a long time now. Not only this board but the old hang out and the Red sheet. Don't take any of this to heart. You are a great fan, a good technician and understand this game better than I ever will. Keep writing and share your feelings and knowledge to those who want it and the rest can ignore as they always have.

GBR
