I know Detroit wouldn't do this, but this is the only way I would be ok with the suggested 3-way.

so if Toronto is willing to dump bosh for Amare, then why the hell dont the suns just cut detroit out of the deal and land Bosh?

if they are planning to dump Amare for cap purposed, then i'm done.

management is a JOKE, and they deserve the crap they'll get for this.

my guess is that Maxiell is included, along with a first from detroit, and Tucker to Detroit also.

Agreed. There has to be more to it...unless as you stated Sarver is just looking to cut salary.

An expiring contract will be a huge element of a trade for Amare. The Suns want a young player, pick(s) and an expiring contract.

If your going to get a young player, don't get a SF. Get a young PF. I think SF are easier to come by in the draft then a PF.

While trading Amare is a risk that may be worth taking, it's only worth taking if it either makes us better now or in the future, or preferably both. Amare for Prince is the most ridiculous thing I've heard yet. Which is why it wouldn't surprise me if Kerr did it. But why wouldn't the Suns be asking for Bosh instead?

Because kerr is a salary dumping fool. If they do this I will watch again AFTER kerr is gone. I wont support complete incompetence or greedy profit taking in management. Prince isnt even close as compensation value wise, his best days are behind him. Wonderful, kerr in there deal making, "playing cards" with BC and joe Dumars .... uh oh! Prepare to be fleeced suns fans.

As we all know, the Bulls and Suns have had lengthy discussions about a possible trade that would send All Star big man Amare Stoudemire to Chicago. The Bulls are very much in the running to land Stoudemire, as GM John Paxson is willing to package just about any deal with mutliple players involved to get him, except for Derrick Rose of course. One scenario that is very possible and has been discussed the most would be a deal that would send Drew Gooden, Tyus Thomas, Thabo Sefoloshia and a 1st round pick to the Suns in exchange for Stoudemire. However, Steve Kerr would like Joakim Noah added to the deal as well. Phoenix will continue to talk with other teams to see if they can either find a better deal, or wait and see if the Bulls will add Noah to the trade. The Bulls want Stoudemire so much, that adding Noah may just happen. Even then, the ball will still be in the Suns court as they have multiple teams to work with and several deals to weigh out, the highest bidder will win.

Oh wow if we actually do this...

I could probably stomach that deal a bit easier, but there is no surefire star in the bunch. That said, Thomas has a load of potential, the old management (at least) loved Sefalosha, and apparently Noah too.

If Nash would grow his hair out again we could put the all Hate/Ashbury squad on the floor with Noah, Sideshow Rob and Lou.

Does it mean a deal with Gooden + Noah + Thomas all together? It sounds strange for the Bulls because that's their entire front court, unless they are surrendering the hope for playoff, currently only #10 in the east and a few games behind #8, maybe not yet, maybe soon.

Meanwhile, if it's Noah and Thomas coming in, Lopez will probably be included in the package out.

The original article said everyone in their roster except Derrick Rose, so I think Hinirich is probably also in the talk.

If we can get Prince for a few of your scrubs, GREAT trade. Amare for Prince=BAD trade.

I hope, with enough time to bargain until the deadline, with a couple of other offers on table to put pressure on Chicago side, Kerr could eventually pull out a deal like this:

Out: Amare + Lopez + another filler, maybe Barnes, or Tucker

In: Hinrich + Thomas + Noah

Such a deal would probably give us some real hope for the second half of the season. We will be well improved in D, and depth at PG and C, balance in each position, and maintaining a good rotation to keep everyone happy.

Nash(30) + Hinrich(18)
J.Rich(20) + Barbosa(20) + Hinrich(8)
Hill + J.Rich + Barnes (if we keep him)
Thomas + Amundson + Noah
Shaq + Noah

The deal looks a little unfair for the Bulls, but in general should be acceptable. No matter how much they like Hinrich, he is not a SG, and he has no position as Rose developing.

I doubt we'd want Hinrich. For his price and performance, Andre Miller as FA would be much better. I envision we'd swap parts at Suns demand as long as Rose stays with Bulls. Likely, it might turn out to be
Amare/Lopez/Barnes for Thomas/Noah/Sefolosha/Gooden plus 2-3 1st rounders.

In 2010, the core would be JRich/LB/Thomas/Noah/Sefelosha, with tons of cap to play with.

Hinrich's contract is the opposite of what we need. Plus if we land Noah AND Hinrich, it puts both of Kerr's draft picks deeper on the bench, which he could never tolerate.

Thomas, Noah, Gooden, Sefalosha, 2009 1st for Amare/Lopez is one of the better trades out there (if we cant land brook lopez from NJ)

I'd see if we can get them to throw in another pick of some sort too.

No way the Suns take on Kirk's contract.

A deal that included Thomas, Noah, Gooden, and a 1st is a very nice package for Amare.

Again, you have to realize that there is no way possible the Suns are going to get an equal package for Amare, especially considering he can opt out in 2010.

Noah and Thomas are playing very well together now that Del Negro is letting them play consistent minutes. Thomas is obviously the centerpiece, Gooden cuts salary after this season, and Noah is a luxury. I wouldnt be shocked to see that deal go down and then the Suns package Noah and someone else (Barbosa, J Rich) to bring in another up and coming player to rebuild around this summer.

The Suns need to collect assets and clear cap space for this summer and the summer of 2010. That is the quickest route back to a rebuilt roster that anyone can hope for.

I've read everything in this thread and thought about it very carefully, and I've decided that the two colons in the subject header are cool.
